I have ordered twice directly from Birkenstock website in the past 3 weeks. The first time I had gotten them out and was about to start my leather protection ritual when I noticed they were NOT the oiled leather I had ordered. I got them retuned and reordered. I have my order confirmation pictured. They showed up again today and again they are the BS NOT the oiled leather again. Pic of the box showing they are the BS not oiled leather.

I’ll be real honest the outside of the straps looks like the leather, but as soon as you touch it you know it’s wrong. IF you are familiar with the real leather. If someone is new they might not know the difference in how the straps are supposed to look and feel. I actually called them really upset. Said I’ve been waiting and they keep sending me the cheaper sandal and not what I ordered and paid for. They sent a new pair right away this morning.

I can’t help but feel there might be something to replacing a more expensive, real leather order with this less expensive faux leather and hoping people don’t notice. I could be wrong. But I’ve never received the wrong order and definitely not twice. Newbies. Check that your Birks line up with what you order. I’ve been wearing the oiled leather for over 20 years, I know the difference.

Update: I just want to thank everyone for their kind advice and experiences. I know that it shouldn’t have been this way and I now know how I should handle this for the future. Thank you.

I’m 47 and almost through with Perimenopause, I hope. But my wife got tired of having to stop every hour or so for the bathroom and told me to get checked out. I did the log for my Urogynocologist and I pee about 18 times a day. It’s really disruptive.

Meds didn’t help so I went in for Botox last Monday. It hurts. I cried and my wife held my hand through the whole thing. Then I read on the MyChart notes that they filled my bladder with the like 2% lidocaine and let it sit for 30 minutes. They DID NOT. They put it in and she started 3 minutes later.

When I go back in 6/9 months I’m timing it. If you have this done be sure to time the lidocaine or you will feel every stab.

I’m searching for a new dehumidifier that will work well in temps from 52F-68F in unfinished, 130 yr old, 1000 Sqft. Basement. I’m in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and my basement is always damp.

Yes, we are putting in a French drain this summer and a sump pump. But need a new dehumidifier now.
