I have a brand new Iwata HP-C Plus and a brand new air compressor. I specifically bought it to do fine lines (pencil thin) but when I try to paint that tight of a line, the paint keeps clogging and comes out inconsistently. I can clearly see from the test sheet I got in the package it's capable of doing fine lines. I've think I've narrowed it down to mixing issue and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback. Here are my conditions:

Iwata HP-C Plus

18 PSI

3:1 thinner to paint ratio

I'm using Vallejo Model Color paints

Am I thinning it too much? Am I missing flow improver/retarder and that's the crucial ingredient?

I am losing my mind.

So apparently if you try to push open the lid from the top, the physics of the joint cause the whole thing to just tip back. And when the tank spills into the back, you're fucked.

There is no way to really get this thing open to clean it well. You can take the front and back panels off but there is no way to remove the top so you can clean the lip around the screen gap (that acts as sort of a gutter for the resin).

Now its all over the motor for the z axis arm, all over the bottom, and I can't take anything out to clean it.

Also the lid assembly? It's wired to the motherboard because of the AI Camera. Wanna take it off? Go fuck yourself. Wanna unplug the AI camera wire from the motherboard so you can take it off? Also go fuck yourself we hot glued it into place.

If you get resin into this thing you're fucked

Hey guys this might be a bit of a different one, but I feel like conquest has gotten super boring because I always end up using similar strategies and researching the same vehicles. Has anyone figured out some fun creative challenges you can do that are self-imposed? Here's a couple I thought of so you get where I'm coming from:

Armor Only

Light Vehicle Only

Infantry Only

No Anti-tank guns (Including from tanks) can only use Mines and Infantry weapons (Like rockets and AT rifles)

Can only use scavenged vehicles

Light tank only (spamming them)

I'm curious if the community has come up with something like this before, drop your own fun personal challenge in the comments:

I am a model tank hobbyist and I print 1/56 WWII vehicles on an Elegoo Saturn 4 16K Ultra. All the tanks I print are from files I buy online. Rarely do I have issues with it, but I'll come across the occasional pre-supported file I buy off of myminifactory or cults that'll just fail no matter what. Before I dropped good money on the Elegoo Saturn, I used to use an Anycubic mono 4. That thing kinda sucked but it was okay if you only used standard resin and didn't expect quality small details on prints. The big advantage the Saturn has over it is that it allows you to control /mitigate more of the scientific variables associated with resin printing. The reason I bring that up is because if I know every consequential scientific variable is being controlled with the printer, then when there's support failure I know it's not from something on my end. After awhile, I started noticing a pattern in what objects printed successfully with no problems and which didn't. It got to a point where I could call it ahead of time (that it would fail) but I'd still print it anyways just to humor myself. And after doing this for awhile, I realized some things

I turns out, that a lot of pre-supported files out there just suck. Simple as that.

It used to drive me crazy when I was using an Anycubic in my early days and I kept having fails. But it turns out, that a lot of those models weren't going to print anyways. So the next time you're about to go on a 5-hour exposure time, travel speed, temperature, testing escapade because you keep having failures from a "pre-supported" file- chances are it might just be the file. Just keep that in mind.

Now, I just inspect the supports on models I buy more closely before I print them. And a lot of the times even if the print is successful I might not like where the support connection points leave a slight imperfection on a model so I re-do them anyways.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I feel like weed is so hard to quit because of how mediocre it is. And if I had to take it a step further, I'd say weed is embodied by the word mediocre. Everything about it and how it affects people could be described by that word. What happens when you smoke consistently for awhile? The high becomes mediocre. You don't like it let alone even feel it as much. You just smoke to stay above water. Is weed good for you? Sometimes, maybe, not really, for some people (like me) definitely not. It's negative health effects? Not the worst thing in the world but definitely not good for you either. What are the long term affects on you as person? It makes stagnation comfortable, and directionlessness feel okay. It might not make you hit rock bottom, but you probably won't become the the best version of yourself using it either. The addiction experience is so mediocre you have such a hard time quitting because you can't convince yourself it's bad enough to care. Like it doesn't drag my life down enough for me to get scared or fearful of what might happen if I can't quit. It's just a force that makes you painfully average. And when you're painfully average for so long the part of you that could've made you above average atrophies and dies off. It's like you have metaphorical mirrors and windows to allow you to see threats in your life, and weed just stays perfectly in the blindspot.

I've been having a lot of trouble quitting because everytime I do I'm just reminded how mediocre life can be, and it bores the hell out of me. I'm in a bit of a particular situation in life right now where I'm in-between major chapters, so I feel kinda directionless and often fall back into lighting up a joint. Does anyone feel something similar to this?
