Granny Style

First post here. At 71 yearsold I thought I would showcase what I wear!

Thought I would share some of my spring looks.

These days I’m into linen and linen blends.

Also comfort! Its key!

If you notice my different hair styles, I wear wigs. My hair hasn’t aged well so wigs are part of my style now!

The Travel Set!

I received my second travel set yesterday and couldn’t be happier with the quality, fit and comfort!

The tan ensemble will suffice as we head to LA next month and the black will be worn on flight to France.

These outfits are so incredibly comfortable! For work they are perfect and for going out and about!

My only suggestion is to make this in Navy!!!

Hi All!

Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this community!

I’ve been wearing OGL clothing for a few years now and am always recommending the brand both IRL and my blog.

At 70 years of age, it’s important to me to showcase how my demographic can dress with comfort and style regardless of body type or age!

The Brami tops are the greatest! As one who despises bra straps falling down and wearing bras in general, the Brami tops are like a gift from Mother Nature!

The Travel set is gorgeous and I plan on wearing the black set to LA this summer and later on to Paris.

The return/exchange process is very easy as customer service is stellar. As a M top and L bottom I have had to exchange tops and was told to donate what I didn’t want. Since I work in a State Hospital, I have donated to the patients leaving and it makes me happy that they can be stylish as they enter their next phase of life!

Eagerly awaiting my travel set in brown!!

Glad to be here!

Okay Ladies and Gents!

I just turned 71 and want to share some unwanted words regarding aging and my propensity for makeup which will never cease!

There was a time when I was what one would call good looking. When I was out with my girlfriends during my young twenties having fun in NYC, I had a blast!

Those days I could get away with darker lipstick and my favorite, Wine With Everything lip shade!

My brows were naturally thick. My lashes lush and my mouth full! I also had a thick head of hair despite Trich from severe anxiety.

Having three children, I still found time to slap some phase of cosmetics on.

Then, I hit forty and my skin started changing. It got dry. And all those years of no sunscreen ( hey, Coppertone tanning lotion and Bain de Soliel were fake sunscreen) I noticed sun damage.

I started wearing foundation. Then I started to get lines! I switched foundations. Then I started to get wrinkles and sun spots! And I switched from foundation to skin tints ( which I love)

Then most of my hair fell out so I started wearing wigs—which was a blessing in disguise because when we travel, I can swim all day and plop a wig on when we go to dinner.

My brows all but disappeared! Wait! The brow hairs made their way to my chin! I never leave home without a tweezer!

And one day I looked in the mirror and saw an old lady version of me.
And it’s okay! I see young me in my children and grandchildren!

No Botox. No fillers, although I had Juviderm in my lips and nobody noticed so that was a waste of money. And no filter. I want you to see what aging looks like.

So many people don’t have the privilege of aging therefore wrinkles and sun and age spots are no biggie! But I still love my cosmetics and today I am wearing: Danessa Myricks, universal balm, the Yummy powder balm, the pink blush and her color stix eye shadow. I love Danessa Myricks products and she’s a Borough Girl from Queens just like me!! I also added a touch of Chanel Les Beige cream bronzer. Brows have been enhanced with Essence brow gel and Benefit brow pencil, my eyes are lined with Revant gel pencil and lips L’Oreal Tickled Pink and Kaja gloss Number One .

That’s it! May you all be successful and blessed to age!!💕
