What instantly makes a house feel “Christmas-y” to you?

For me it’s seeing warm lights glowing through the windows at night. It doesn’t even have to be a huge display, it just gives that cozy Christmas feeling instantly.

What’s the first thing that gives you that feeling?

Christmas Movies Or Christmas Songs

If you could only choose one or the other, would you prefer to watch any Christmas Movie at anytime, but never able to listen to a Christmas Song again. Or would you prefer to never watch a Christmas Movie ever again, but listen to all the Christmas Songs you could tolerate?

Explain your choice 🎄🎅

Christmas In July 2026

I've never celebrated Christmas in July, but planning to this year.

How do people celebrate it compared to Dec 25?

What are your traditions?

Fun Christmas in July stories??

* Also why is it in July and not 25th June exactly 6 months before and after Christmas?

Took this last December walking through the shopping village around closing time. The whole place was empty and the lights reflecting on the wet stones felt unreal.

Georgiana - She led the caravan of the kings

Just as there is a variety of depictions of the three kings, the same can be said of the many versions of Georgiana in various nativity scenes. A native of Georgia, in the Caucasus Mountains, legend says that she led the caravan of the kings as they followed the star. She is typically placed near the Holy Family (Mary, Joseph, and Jesus), but is distinct from the central biblical characters.

I’m trying to plan ahead this year instead of scrambling in December.

For those who decorate every year, have you actually saved money buying lights months in advance, or do you still find the best deals during holiday sales?

I used paper mache and air dry clay to create a new face! i’m actually super happy with how it turned out!

My husband and I just joined the Church, and we very likely are about to move into a place of our own again. This means that starting a family may not be too far off, and I just want to hear about Christmas traditions you grew up with (or started) that are very Catholic, like going to midnight Mass. Tell me all the good times!

According to legends, Georgiana was part of the retinue of the kings. Some tales claim that she led them on their journey to meet with the Holy Family. Georgiana is a specialized figurine frequently found in detailed, traditional Italian nativity scenes. In some displays, she's wearing royal clothing while riding on a camel. In other displays, she's riding in an elaborate sedan chair, transported by two camels or a group of servants.
