I received a message about a dog in Bacoor, Cavite a month ago, suffering from a severe skin disease. I didn’t realize at first that he was still just a puppy. Because I grew up in Bacoor, this rescue felt especially close to my heart. I had also previously helped rescue and find a home for another dog from there.

Even while I was still recovering myself and unsure of how much everything would cost, I still said YES to rescuing him and covered for everything financially. I had faith that God would provide, and I truly believe money can always be made again, but a life cannot be replaced.

I am deeply grateful for the people in the Philippines whom I trust to help me do this kind of work. I see it as a blessing to be able to feel compassion this deeply, to feel others’ pain, and to give comfort where I can. For that, I thank the Lord always.

Elijah’s caretaker just messaged me that she found a lump on his tummy. I received zero donations for Elijah and now there is another issue:( Nobody cares about animals in the Philippines.. i feel like one person who wants to help but I am just one person. Who else feels this way? Why was I not born rich? Sometimes I wish I could be like those people who did not care.. but my life would be empty and they would suffer. But this is also so hard:( financially, mentally 💔

He is currently in Casa Dela Suerte in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines.

He had an owner but he was clearly neglected. So the owner of Casa took him away. My non profit helped him get rescued (pet transportation, vet bills, supplies) and I continue to sponsor him. But because I have other rescues I sponsor, it has been so overwhelming. I am only one person. If I am being honest, in my Filipino community, there is a breed discrimination - when an animal is not a full breed or an expensive breed.. they do not see animals as valuable 💔 its a cruel world. That is why I name my non profit ‘Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation’ All animals are beautiful, valuable, and important! They all deserve homes, family, attention, dignity, and respect!!

He is now staying at Casa Dela Suerte Shelter in Tanza, Cavite. All funds will be going towards and only to his Elijah recovery needs.

Since I started my non profit last month, we received donations specifically for the upcoming neuter/spay program around June/July and only a few for the rescued animals. In the Philippines, they collect stray animals and put them in animal pounds and starve them until they….
And some sell them for their meat.
This is why I desperately do what I can even when its hard. Even when I feel like nobody is listening. Even when people may think I am a food for doing this.
My dad even said to me today that ‘you know even if you try to save them, people will still continue to do keep doing what they do..” but I told him that atleast I am still saving lives. Thats all I want.
My non profit information is also on that website. I am registered in Canada. I moved to Canada from the Philippines when I was 15 years old, but for some reason, I still cannot remove this mission from my heart.

Thank you everyone for the support I received yesterday. Isabelle went to the vet yesterday and we covered the bill. We are also going to cover her dietary needs. I also support other dogs in the Philippines, often with my own paycheque as I only started the non profit last month. Even then, I usually really few donations from Canada where I am at. For example, I got zero donations for Isabelle from Canada where I live. But thank the Lord, I got 4 donations from the United States from posting Isabelle here on Reddit. That was the first time I posted a dog for help here on Reddit. Even now, I am still unfamiliar with using Reddit. Thank you all again for your support.

I have been helping dogs and cats in the Philippines since 2020. My mission is to give them a voice, to share awareness of the cruelty that they face daily in the Philippines, to help them get rescued, to advocate for their rights, and to give them a chance to live with safety, dignity, love, and hope.

Isabelle was found yesterday by the shelter’s owner. She is clearly underweight and has a hole in her eye/cheek area. The shelter is low on funds and I am only on person in this non profit. Therefore, we are asking for your help.
