Sweet and amazing Ryder is Past deadline and can be euthanized at any time- located at Stanislaus Animal Shelter in Lancaster, CA. #A609773

Extended, but past due and out of time!

Dog friendly with proper introductions!!!!

Euthanasia scheduled Monday 05/11 at 6:30 am 💔

Best smile award goes to… RYDER!! 🏆🌟

Ryder is a sweet, happy boy and is a great, petite travel size at just 41 pounds! Ryder allows for all over touch, and likes attention from the handlers. He walks easily on the leash, and is good about entering and exiting his kennel on lead. He’s just in need of a home to show him all the love he deserves.

🐶 Ryder was tested with Sherman and Shanzy and did okay. He does not like other dogs near his face, and does not like when other dogs come into his space suddenly. When we first introduced him to Sherman, he corrected Sherman twice before Sherman calmed down. When approached again by Sherman, but this time much more calm, Ryder wagged his tail and allowed him to exchange a rear end sniff with him. With Sherman calm, both dogs coexisted side by side just fine, but did not choose to interact much more. Ryder was stiff when we first brought out Shanzy, but after exchanging a rear end sniff, was wagging his tail and following her around sniffing her. He did get a little invasive with his sniffing, which Shanzy corrected him on, and he took the correction well, backing off for a short time before approaching her again.

Heartbroken to post this but looking for an amazing home for our Bloodhound.

I honestly never thought I’d be making a post like this.

Pluto has been part of our family for the last 4 years after we rescued him from a shelter when he was about 9 months old. He’s grown up with our two young kids, our other dogs, and even our cats. He’s an incredibly loving dog, amazing with children, great with other dogs, and happiest when he’s around people.

We were told he’s likely a Bloodhound/Rhodesian Ridgeback/Coonhound mix, and he definitely has a lot of classic hound personality traits. He’s social, affectionate, curious, and loves being active and outdoors.

Our family is preparing for a major cross country move related to our son’s medical condition, and after a lot of difficult conversations, we’ve had to face the reality that we may no longer be able to give Pluto the exercise, space, consistency, and attention he truly deserves long term.

This is not something we want to do at all. We love this dog deeply and there’s a tremendous amount of heartbreak and guilt attached to even considering it. But we also love him enough to know he deserves a life where he can really thrive.

More than anything, we’re hoping to find Pluto a home where he’ll have room to run, interaction with people and other dogs, and owners who will truly make him part of the family the way we have.

We are absolutely willing to work with the right family on transportation or an out of state relocation if needed for the right home. If you think you may be a good fit for Pluto or have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

10month old Charisma is on euthanasia risk at anytime as of 5/17 ‼️ NYC Shelter

IN GRAVE DANGER - EUTH COMMAND

“I’m Charisma… though right now I know that name doesn’t seem to fit me. I used to be different — playful, cuddly, always pressed against my person because that’s where I felt safe. But then everything changed. My parent got sick, then lost our home, and the day we said goodbye I cried into their shirt while they cried into my fur. I didn’t understand why we couldn’t stay together. I still don’t. I just know they loved me, and I loved them, and then suddenly I was alone.

Here in the shelter I’m so scared that my whole body shakes. I hide in the corner of my kennel because it’s the only place that feels small enough to hold all my fear. When people try to take me out, I panic — my legs won’t move, my body freezes, and sometimes I thrash because I don’t know what else to do. I’m not trying to be difficult. I’m just a ten‑month‑old puppy who lost everything and doesn’t know how to be brave yet.

But underneath all this trembling is the real me — the girl who loves to cuddle, who follows her people from room to room, who gives soft kisses and wiggles when she trusts you. I’m playful with dogs I know, gentle with the people I love, and I want so badly to feel safe again. I just need time… time to decompress, time to learn the world isn’t ending, time to remember that I’m still a puppy with a whole life ahead of me.

The shelter says I’m “not acclimating,” and now I’m on the list to die. I don’t want my story to end here. I don’t want my parent — wherever they are, probably still struggling — to find out that I am gone forever. I want a quiet, patient, adult home where someone will kneel beside me, speak softly, and let me come forward when I’m ready. Someone who sees past the shaking and understands that fear is not who I am — it’s just what happened to me.

Please… I’m only ten months old. I’m healthy. I’m loving. I’m trying. I just need someone to save my life and give me the chance to become the dog my name promises.”

Experienced fosters and adopters, we need you to step up for this baby girl who did nothing wrong. She’s lost it all, the parent she loved, the home she felt safe and loved in, and now she may lose her own life. It’s unfair. MESSAGE OUR PAGE to save her life now.

CHARISMA, Id 252611, @10 Mos. Old, 54 lbs., Female
Queens ACC, Medium Mixed Breed, Gray/White
Owner Surrender Reason: 5/5/26 – Owner Homeless
Behavior Assessment Rating: New Hope Only
Recommendations:
No children under 13
Place with a New Hope Partner
Medical Behavior Rating: 4. Orange

AT RISK MEMO:
Charisma is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Charisma has been highly fearful and shut down during her stay in care, despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. In her previous home she is describe to enjoy being close to her people, playful, and an affectionate dog. In care, she refuses to leave her kennel and thrashes intensely once leashed. Charisma was also reported to display similar behaviors during her intake and refused to walk to her kennel. Medically, Charisma is apparently healthy.

Charisma was surrendered by her previous owner due to their health concerns. Her previous family described her as an active, playful, affectionate dog. She spends most of her time where her people are. She did not allow her previous family to bathe her, brush her, or trim her nails, did not have a walking schedule, was never crate trained, and she struggles when being placed in a car. During her stay in care, Charisma has been highly fearful and shut down. She refuses to leave her kennel or walk, moving to the corner of her kennel, trembling, and begins thrashing before freezing in place once leashed. Due to these concerns, we recommend that Charisma be placed in an adult-only home through a New Hope rescue partner that can give her the time and space to decompress and acclimate at her own pace. She will likely need further socialization sessions under the guidance of a certified professional trainer who utilizes force-free, reward-only based methods once she has had ample time to adjust to a new home environment.

INTAKE NOTES – Date of Intake: 5-May-2026
Upon intake Charisma was very fearful. Staff asked client to place slip leash around Charisma, and walk her to staff. Dog was unwilling to walk on leash both with client and with staff. She would break frequently, and occasionally thrash.

OWNER SURRENDER NOTES – BASIC INFORMATION:

She is shy around strangers and prefers contact on her own terms. She is shy around children and prefers contact on her own terms. Charisma is playful with familiar dogs. She is tolerant of unfamiliar dogs. She has no experience with cats. Charisma values her food. She guards her food by hovering over it with a tense body. Charisma has no bite history. She is partially housetrained. Her energy level is high.

Other Notes:

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: New Hope Only

Recommendations:
No children (under 13)
Place with a New Hope partner

Recommendations comments:

No children (under 13): Due to Charisma's intense, fearful and shut-down behaviors, we recommend an adult-only home as she may be intimidated by children.

Place with a New Hope partner: Charisma has not acclimated well to the kennel environment and has allowed only minimal handling since intake. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.

Potential challenges:
House soiling
Resource guarding
Handling/touch sensitivity
Fearful
Anxiety
On-leash reactivity/barrier frustration

Potential challenges comments:

House soiling: Charisma is reported to have accidents on a weekly basis in her previous home. Please see the handout on House soiling.

Resource guarding: Charisma is reported to guard her food, hovering over it with a tense body. Please see the handout on resource guarding.

Handling/touch sensitivity | Fearful: Charisma has been highly fearful and shutdown during her stay in care. She moves to a corner of her kennel when handlers attempt to leash her, thrashing once leashed, and refuses to leave her kennel or walk once out. Her previous owner stated that she did not allow any form of grooming, including nail trims. And she was fearful when restrained and when her collar is grabbed. Please see handouts on Decompression period and Handling/touch sensitivity.

Anxiety: Charisma is reported to be anxious in the previuos home, but her owner did not elaborate on how this behavior manifested or if any steps were taken to modify these behaviors. If Charisma displays anxious behavior in her future home, we recommend puzzle toys, long walks, and giving her other things to focus on to alleviate her anxiety. Positive reinforcement, force-free training only should be used. Please see hadnout on generalized anxiety.

📍 Orange County Animal Services, ORLANDO, FL (2769 Conroy Road, Orlando, FL 32839).

💙 BOULDER A594811 - This dog is an unaltered male. This dog is currently located in CLIND03. This dog weighs approximately 58.0 lbs.,is 5Y and has tested negative for heartworm disease. This dog is being posted to rescue due to medical.

Meet Boulder!

*Boulder needs to find rescue placement by May 19, 2026*

He is friendly with people but got into a scuffle with the one dog he was paired with, so he is in a kennel by himself. ‼️ Additional information: Boulder was paired for 5 days with this other dog (intact male) before they had a scuffle. Why did the shelter pair 2 intact males?? And why pair him when he is having back leg issues? After this, the shelter did not attempt to pair Boulder again due to his back leg issue and difficulty manuevering with it. He does not react to dogs in neighboring kennels.

Boulder is HW negative but came in limping and his left rear paw folds inward.  That leg requires amputation

Special notes:

-LH limb politeal lymph node enlargement

-LH MCS 1/3, ulcers on top of toes, worn nail, loss of conscious proprioception

-Crusting of skin

Our new girl!

Got our first rescue! She is a 2 year old ACD shepherd mix. She was days from being put down in a shelter in Texas. We saw her online and knew we needed to meet her.

She drove for 5 days straight and then flew for the first time. She is a big sweet goofball.

We are all still getting used to each other but so far it has been an amazing experience.

I can’t thank and recommend the volunteers with CM2 more for the work and care they give to these dogs looking for a chance at life.

She spent her time in the play yard running and sniffing the grounds. She enjoyed being out and about taking in the scenery. She would come over for an occasional treat and head rub. She really was a lot of fun and I think she would make a great companion for someone. Very pretty dog too!

Please choose to adopt COTTON today. Bring a blanket, crate, collar and leash so she can trot out the front door with you today! She is one of the very LONGEST stay dogs.
