10wk old bed share

I’m currently on maternity leave and go back the end of July. We’ve been co sleeping since Day 1, but there have been times we’ve been able to get LO to sleep in his crib for a few hours before he wakes up & then he starts screaming because I’m not there. For ref, I sleep in one bed with LO, partner is in a different room and has no interest in Cosleep because of how much he tosses and turns.

I work overnights 3 nights one week and 4 nights the next and am currently stressing out about my return.
LO will be 21 weeks old when i do return and i guess im just deciding whether or not i switch to crib training him now to get him used to sleeping independently throughout the night. when we co sleep LO fully sleeps through the night but in his crib, its essentially impossible to soothe him and get him back down in it once he’s made his first wake.

any advice would be great! i’d love to continue cosleeping but i really just dont think it’s feasible & tbh i miss sleeping with my partner!

congestion at night

i cosleep with my 10 wk old, we sleep in a separate room from my partner and for whatever reason this room is so dry, even with a humidifier. it’s just across the hallway so i really don’t understand BUT anyways
LO gets very snorty at night & im curious if there’s something additional i can do to help him sleep more comfortably. i’d like to get him to sleep in his crib within the next coming weeks since i go back to work the end of july & work overnights so i wont be here anymore but LO only seems to sleep comfortably snort free on his side braced against my body .

ik the humidifier works, but its about 5 feet from the sleep spaces in here and even i wake up with a dry nose everyday. in my partner and i’s room its on our nightstand which helps the most, but does that mean i should just move the humidifier closer to where baby sleeps?

rolling away?

ftm new to cosleeping
when people say they “roll away” once baby is asleep does that mean they roll out of the bed to go do various tasks around the house or does it mean they roll away in order to create space and be comfy at night?
LO is almost 11 weeks, falls asleep nursing belly to belly and then we either stay belly to belly with me in C Curl or i flip him to his back and i do as well with my arm still draped around him but i’m definitely the type of person that sleeps best on my stomach.

am i able to do that safely when cosleeping or is that a big no no?
for reference we sleep on a full size mattress. it’s up against two walls but is not currently on the floor since he’s not rolling yet

cosleeping & an oversupply

hi so basically as the title suggests, i have an oversupply. it’s not enormous in comparison to some women out there but it’s definitely large enough to be extremely uncomfortable especially at night.

i’ve been cosleeping with my son since essentially week 2z he’s now 10 weeks and i LOVE it, however, i do plan on working towards getting him to sleep in his crib (he usually will sleep for a couple hours in there but won’t make it through the night like he will when cosleeping)

for the past week or so, he only wakes up 1-2 times and even so, hasn’t been interested in eating, therefore it causes me to end up having VERY full boobs. SO getting to my question: do you guys pump at night even when cosleeping (ie setting alarms to wake up specifically to pump?) my LO wakes up essentially as soon as he senses i’m no longer there , so if i were to sit up and pump , i know he would wake up. i guess im just looking for advice on what to do in my situation, if it’s not clear im a FTM. my son and i sleep in a separate room from my partner since he’s back to work and needs uninterrupted sleep so its not even like he can pretend to be me with baby.

AND ALSO: advice on combating leaking? even with nursing pads (i’ve tried lansinoh, medela, target brand, and reusable ones) i still leak thru them during the day but especially at night and i wake up drenched/basically in a puddle & baby will be damp as well

for reference: LO is 10weeks, already double birth weight (he weights over 14 lbs already) and has grown 4 inches since birth (now 24in) so he’s a huge eater during the day now since he hasn’t eaten much at night) and was born 39w4d

any and all advice would be wonderful , sorry for the rambles !!!!
