Why cant lenovo service just replace my keyboard without a diagnosis???
This is so infuriating so basically my one year warranty ended in july 2025 and since September im having keyboard issues. I have an rtx 4060 and The Keys 3,D,C,E arent working, i called up their service centre and they quoted me a huge amount. I went on without doing it since it would have taken like 1-2 weeks and i needed my laptop.
So i called the service centre again asking for a keyboard replacement which would cost around 4-5k inr i guess and they said they cant do it without doing a diagnosis first which would cost 4k????
First of all i shouldnt have to pay anything since i didnt do any damage to the laptop and there have been more than 10 posts of people complaining of the same issue so as seen by multiple people complaining its a common lenovo malfunction error yet im ready to replace my keyboard because its a gaming laptop and i literally cannot function without they Keys D and E
But now they are saying the diagnosis of 4k inr is mandatory, what am i even supposed to do?? Im not paying 4k for a literal diagnosis when i already know the issue and am ready to pay for the keyboard replacement :/
Should i go to a third party instead i usually find that risky and avoid but what other option do i even have😭🙏i dont want to pay anything since its not my mistake but 4k is still like okay but im not paying 10k for something thats not caused by me :(
