I'm 17 and am wanting to date again I have no idea where to go or what to do to find people in my area

You may remember I was seeking advice for what to do about a situation where my boyfriends mother found out about us dating after being a secret for a year

Well update we broke up. I know it is for the best.

Besides the immediate situation there were many issues within our relationship

-he didn't put in effort to plan dates or even help with dates I had planned

-was very weird about me talking about wanting to start T/ get top surgery

-refused to tell anyone about me accept for one person (hi best friend) who then went on to make jokes like How I'm "the best of both worlds" because my ex was bi And even tried guessing my dead name. (My ex ended up telling him?!)

-talked about how he hated other gay/trans people because they where too much and I was "different" from THEM.

-would send me nudes without asking

-beg for my nudes/weird videos

All of this led me to the realization that this isn't who I'm meant for. And I was just desperately seeking love and approval.

Also... Was he a chaser?

ftm (17) am in a LDR with a cisman (18)

3 days ago his mother found out about us dating he had kept it a secret for over a year in fear of her reaction and the reaction of his family. He has a brother who had already came out and was supported though reluctantly.

So I always assumed his mothers reaction if she did find out wouldn't be terrible. But I respected his wishes to remain closted.

My boyfriend was greeted as he got home from work with screaming and yelling she was not made he was gay. Maybe a little but most of all... She was mad I was trans.

My boyfriend was terrified this was his biggest fear come true. Ive never seen him so terrified but then he dropped a bomb on me. He said he wasnt sure if we could keep dating. We have not officially broken up. I really hope we dont. But he's been acting different. No more I love yous. No more good morning / goodnight texts. No texts period unless I text first.

I'm terrified I've lost him and so suddenly. Ive never been so scared. He is truly a remarkable human being I don't want to lose him go bigotry.

He is very attached to his mother though and cares very very deeply about what she thinks of him family has always been very important to him. And I understand not wanting to lose that but it makes me feel like I was never as important, to him as I thought.

Is this selfish? What do I do?
