Ya Ya, a giant panda who lived at the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee, US, for 20 years, was returned to China. Activists had previously raised concerns about her looking malnourished and haggard, which the zoo attributed to genetics and a skin condition.
She now lives at the Beijing Zoo, which shared that she has gained weight from 75kg to 95kg. Her fur also looks better.
