Feel free to add some more ideas for crafts but I just really like the idea of having something physical and real that I have made to symbolize each sabbat so here are some ideas I’ve put together so far:

For Yule I’ll probably make pomander balls (for those that don’t know, they are oranges with cloves stuck in them and sometimes also rolled in cinnamon or other spices, you can hang them in the kitchen with red ribbon and they smell nice and are supposed to deter pests and last a while bcuz of the cloves and spices)

For Imbolc the most common physical item I saw being made was a brigid’s cross. Open to more ideas for this one

For Ostara I’d probably dye eggs or make candles out of egg shells. Maybe make a decorative birds nest or make items from clay to put in my garden as decor.

For Beltane you can make a flower crown or a mini may pole, I saw one person on here recently posted the witch bells they made for Beltane and that was also super cute

For Litha I was thinking of making a sun catcher to hang in a window. Perfect for honoring the sun on the summer solstice

Lughnasadh is the first harvest so I might try my hand at making corn dollies? I’ve never done it before so I’m unsure how well they’ll come out

For Mabon I was thinking of making a besom/broom to celebrate the autumn equinox

And lastly, for Samhain I might do carving or painting pumpkins. I could also do a besom for Samhain but then I’d need to think of another thing to do for Mabon instead

I have a coworker who is probably the meanest, rudest, unhappiest, negative person I have ever met. Management has tried to intervene bcuz of her behavior multiple times, but nothing ever sticks. (And it’s not quite bad enough to fire her because it’s not violent or sexual in nature, just mean.) She sees everything in the worst way possible. Complains constantly. Is upset basically 24/7. Low self esteem so she lashes out at other ppl. (Has called ppl fat, made fun of one girl for her stutter, the list goes on.)

Honestly it’s bad enough that my other witchy coworker says she does cleansing spells after having to work with her.

I’ve thought about it though and I think everyone would be happier if I could maybe do a spell to bring out the positive thoughts in her mind? She hates her job, but she’d hate any job basically. It’s literally her personality and thoughts. But if she could see the bright side every now and then…

I have not been to the beach since I got this game a year ago. All those detectors came just in time for my first beach trip in years. Super awesome timing, finally got beach pikmin

Not pictured: all the other beach seedlings I already grabbed :)

Both sides of my family are pretty hardcore Christian, and likely all Trumpet supporters. I don’t feel connected at all to them, and because of this I feel like I can’t really even try to connect with my ancestors either.

  1. Have you ever seen a store manager give out sub cards? I’ve yet to see any of my store managers do it, but I might just not be around for when they do. I just think it’d boost morale a bit if they did. There’s at least a few people who’d work harder if they thought it would lead to the bragging rights of saying the store manager gave them one

  2. Are sub cards exclusively for publix associates only? I doubt any customers are getting them ofc, but what about vendors or maintenance people if they go above and beyond?

  3. Are there any rules like limits or mandatory amounts of sub cards managers have to give out? If a manager is giving out like 20 a month does anything bad happen? Or if they give 0 out in an entire year does anyone try to encourage them to give out more?

I don’t know, was just pondering on the subject.

I’ve tried cards, flowers, chocolates, etc (all the usuals) but she just doesn’t really care about cards or flowers, and doesn’t want candy cause she’s trying to eat better.

She doesn’t really eat out. Doesn’t really shop. Comes home from work and just plays games on her tablet or scrolls. Rewatches all the same shows but not in a “im such a huge fan” way but just because she wants the background noise and knows which shows aren’t too loud or crazy or gross.

She does like god stuff and is Christian but she has no need for yet another Bible or devotional (has said so herself).

She quite literally doesn’t want things that will take up space (she has a slight hoarder issue. not insane like you see on tv but her house is very cluttered bcuz she doesn’t want to let anything go, but she’s self aware and knows she doesn’t need more stuff to add to the problem). She doesn’t want food things bcuz she wants to lose weight. And on that note about losing weight, if I got her like workout stuff she just wouldn’t use it and it would take up more space. She doesn’t really like going out anywhere either.

I’m just at a loss. Amazon gift card?

Edit, just bcuz there have been some repeat suggestions:

My mom refuses to go out 99% of the time. She says no to going on walks with me, to restaurants, to shopping, movie theater, etc. She essentially just wants to scroll. She also does not go to church despite being very religious.

Sentimental/handmade stuff hasn’t gone over very well. She says thanks but then just kind of tosses it to the side and never looks at it again.

I’m not much of a cook so usually I just watch for entertainment purposes, not to try and recreate the food myself. That being said, I think I’d like to try my hand at it for fun at least a couple times, so I was wondering how often other people actually have tried to recreate the food Max makes and any favorites they might have

(And if it help, yes I do have the cookbook to go off of as well, got it for my bf who watches the show with me and is way more of a cook than I am)
