I’m married with two young kids, so as you can imagine, my weekends are never really my own time to do what I want with. But I love being able to get the community day badge, though have definitely missed some especially in the winter.

Today I woke up wondering if I could figure out how to get 10k steps in for the badge. An idea hit me, “hey, who wants to go the zoo??” So now we’re headed to the zoo for some quality family time. And hey if that means that I happen to get to walk a lot, I guess that’s just a nice bonus!

Anyone else find themselves doing anything clever to get steps in? During the week, I’ll also walk up and down the train platform area while waiting for my commuter train and I’m sure everyone looks at me like I’m crazy!

A year ago, on May 12, the level cap for Pikmin Bloom was increased from level 100 to level 130. The requirements were changed to be based only on steps accumulated after level 100 and flowers planted, resetting freshly after you level up to the next level, so any extra steps or flowers tallied didn't count for subsequent levels.

So, after one year with the new level cap, what level are you? Do you anticipate ever getting to level 130? How often do you level up? Do you think they will raise the cap to a higher level at a later time? Also, if you were level 100 before the updated cap last year, did you get instantly to level 101 immediately, or did you have to reach it normally?

To answer my own questions, here are the answers. I am now level 111, hitting the flower planting requirement just before midnight on the anniversary yesterday. I do think I can get there, as I level up decently fast, so I would say I can reach it around late next year, in October. I have leveled up around once a month, taking around 40 days to do so. I can get the step requirement completed in 9-14 days, but the flower planting is the harder part, as I get around 7500 or similar totals daily, taking around 40 days to hit the requirement. However, I am trying now to reach 8500 flowers a day to level up every 5 weeks instead. I think it's possible, as there was a second hexagon icon (where the player's level is shown), in a greenish-gold color not used found prior to the update, and level 130 is an odd number to end on. We saw the icon change from gold to red when reaching level 130 (albeit all the level 130 posts were false, as the amount of time since May last year was too little to reach it legitimately. Now, it would be possible if a player leveled up every 10 days since May last year, they would have hit 130 back in March this year, if every 15 days, then in July or August.) I can see this unused icon being for level 150 in the future. Yes, I did, as it was weird, considering we did not know what the requirements were; additionally, I don't know if it was a bug/glitch or an intended action to reward players who walked and flower planted after the game announced the level cap was increasing, and if the totals accumulated between the dates were high enough, then you got to level 101 immediately.
