Is it worth settling for less with discover charge off? Will I ever be allowed another discover card in the future if I pay in full or settle for less?
I signed for a program with Amex to pay in full and receive the optima card for a year after completing payments. I was hoping discover has a similar program.

I have a charge off for discover for $5k from 2022, I would love to have another chance to get a card from them in the future. If I settle in full or partial is it possible to be in their good graces again in the future. Or am I burned for life. If not how long will I be black listed for?
