👋 Welcome to r/WomenWhoUseCannabis — Read This First + Introduce Yourself!

Hi everyone 🤍

I’m u/Automatic_Ad3917, the creator of this space.

I started this community because I feel like a lot of women are quietly trying to figure this out on their own…

Using cannabis for stress, sleep, burnout, anxiety, or hormonal shifts — but not always getting the same experience every time.

Sometimes it works exactly how you want.

Other times… it doesn’t.

And no one really talks about that part.

This space is for real conversations about what you use, why you chose it, and how it actually feels in real life.

💬 What to Post

Share anything based on your personal experience, like:

• What method you use (edibles, vape, flower, etc.)

• What you were hoping to feel vs. what actually happened

• What’s worked for you (or hasn’t)

• Questions you’ve been trying to figure out

• Patterns you’ve noticed over time

No need to be an expert — just real experiences.

🌿 Community Vibe

This is a judgment-free space.

We’re here to:

• share honestly

• learn from each other

• and figure out what actually works for our own bodies

No pressure. No pretending. Just real conversations 🤍

🚀 How to Get Started

Introduce yourself below (age range + what you typically use if you’re comfortable)

Jump into a post or ask a question

Share something you’ve experienced — even small things help others

Thanks for being here early 🤍

Let’s build something real together.

Women 30+ — how do you choose your cannabis (method + why)?

Hi ladies 🤍

I’m really curious how women over 30 are deciding what type of cannabis to use these days.

There are so many options now — edibles, vape, flower, tinctures — and I feel like everyone approaches it a little differently.

If you’re open to sharing, I’d love to know:

• Your age (or range)

• What method you usually choose (edible, vape, smoking, etc.)

Why you prefer that method (sleep, stress, convenience, control, etc.)

• Whether it consistently works the way you expect

I’m especially interested in how your decision process has changed over time — if it has at all.

No judgment at all — just trying to understand what’s actually working for women right now 🤍

I started writing down how cannabis actually affects me… this is the pattern I’m seeing

I kept feeling like weed was unpredictable, so I started tracking how I felt before and after. Not scientific at all — just notes in my phone…But this pattern keeps showing up:

When I feel like this → this is what happens….

• already anxious / overstimulated

→ anything too “heady” makes it worse

• mentally drained / burnt out

→ heavy stuff knocks me out too fast

• irritable / off emotionally

→ some make me spiral, some level me out

• trying to be productive

→ most don’t help at all, a few actually do

It’s weird because I thought the product was the main factor. Now it feels like my state going in matters more than anything….

Anyone else relate to this other than me?

Has anyone else noticed cannabis affects them completely differently after 40?

I’m curious if this is just me or if other women are experiencing this too.

I used to be able to pick something based on THC % or strain and it was pretty predictable… but lately it feels all over the place.

Sometimes it relaxes me exactly how I want (calm, clear, helps me sleep)…

Other times it makes me feel anxious, foggy, or just “off” — even when the THC isn’t that high.

It’s honestly frustrating because I’m not trying to get super high… I just want something consistent for stress or sleep without feeling out of control.

I’m wondering if this could be hormonal or just part of getting older?

Has anyone else experienced this shift or figured out what works more consistently for them?

I started paying more attention to terpene profiles instead of THC and that seems to be making more of a difference, but I’m still figuring it out.

Has anyone else noticed this shift or found something that works more consistently for them?

Has anyone else noticed things just hit completely different depending on the day?

I’m curious if this is just me or if other women experience this too.

I used to feel like I could rely on the same routines and get pretty predictable results… but lately it feels all over the place.

Sometimes I feel calm, clear, and everything works exactly how I expect. Other times I feel anxious, foggy, or just “off” — even when I haven’t really changed anything.

It’s honestly frustrating because I’m not trying to feel out of control… I just want something consistent for stress or sleep without it going sideways.

I’m starting to wonder if it has less to do with the thing itself and more to do with my baseline state going into it — like stress levels, sleep, hormones, or just how overstimulated I already am.

Especially with ADHD, it feels like my system is just way more sensitive than it used to be.

Do you notice it’s worse on certain days—like when you’re already a little overstimulated or low energy?
