I feel like nowadays people call everything “performative” or “larping,” and it’s getting out of control. I know some people really do fake interests for attention, but now it feels like everyone gets labeled that way, even when it’s not true.

For example, I’ve always genuinely liked retro games—playing on a DS, PSP, GBA, or emulating games on my phone, I still have a 360. That’s been my thing for a long time. But now, just having a DS/3DS in 2026 is enough for people to call ppl a “larper.” They don’t care if you’ve been into it for years—they just assume you're following a trend. And honestly, that kind of attitude kills the fun.

I also think this mindset is harmful in general. If someone is trying to get into something new, they should be given a chance instead of being mocked. Not everyone is doing things for attention. Unless it’s obvious, people shouldn’t jump to that conclusion.

What bothers me even more is how fast people start hating on things as soon as they become popular again—even when we’re the ones who made them popular in the first place. That just makes people feel ashamed for no reason and takes the enjoyment out of it.

If this keeps happening, it’s going to ruin things for everyone. People will stop enjoying what they like or feel embarrassed to try new things. I feel like our generation already deals with enough negativity and division, and this just adds to it.

I just wish people would relax, stop judging so quickly, and let others enjoy things without turning everything into a problem.

I've always wanted to create, but I've never really known how to share my ideas with the world. I've often thought about being a writer, but i found out that it's not my style. I really love games;Although I'm very poor and didn't have consoles and stuff during my childhood , I made up for it as best I could and I'm very cultured. I have ideas that I know are original, which I've shared with teachers, friends, and a few authors I've me(i don't know any national game dev),asked for honest and straightforward opinions, and without any pride, I must say that I've always been praised. But the lack of funds and my Family have always crushed me. I don't know if this has been done before, but have people from different places ever worked together on games? Each person with their own specific tasks. I know what i am saying might looks a bit silly, but i am very serious. I'm not here to waste anyone's time. Just to discuss and work together . That would be better than wasting myself on p*rn and other bad things,i've never been good to myself . I would like to change and give it a try.I am able to help with the story, character and weapon design, world building and music composition. A narrative designer. I don't know how this post will be treated but at least i shared this with you. My name is Davenchy and i am 19.

I've been on Reddit for two months and I think this subreddit is the best one. Everyone is so cool, empathetic and chill . They encourage you, help you even without asking. I love you guys. I was always scared to play this game, but now that I've been playing for three days and with all your support, I think it's already one of my favorites, even though I know I've only just started.

New player here!

I've been playing on my Xbox 360 for two days. I didn't even sleep yesterday, and it's almost 1 AM. I'm still stuck in the first castle, infested with undead. I keep losing to the Dark Knight and the other guy with the big weapon.

This game is going to kill me! At least I'm not wasting my time mashing buttons on other games.
