Why do Instagram dermata blame mangoes for every summer breakout? 😭

Why do Ig derms act like mangoes are the only thing causing acne in the summer? 😭😭😭Do they not realize that summer itself is a season where our body produces more heat ,sweat, and oil all of which can trigger acne?
People break out in summer because of humidity, excess sebum production, sunscreen buildup, dehydration, and so many other factors too but somehow mangoes become the main freaking villain every year 😭I have oily sensitive acne prone skin and my dermat who has been practising for the last 40 years and helped clear my acne within 3 months has never told me to avoid mangoes. In fact she has always asked me to eat seasonal fruits including mangoes and mangoes have never triggered my acne personally.

Tried Berlin Brew and honestly pretty disappointing. The mango beer was decent but the food was a letdown. The dimsums tasted so stale even the wrapper was literally falling apart and there was barely any flavor even the fries were so basi. I’d pick Osteria over this any day

One thing I do is when I leave the house I check whether the door is locked multiple times so I also take pictures of things like the tap, electricity switches, oven, fridge and gas stove before leaving because if I don’t I’ll keep worrying and sometimes even come back to the apartment to check

Also once a dog ran toward me and I’m sure it didn’t bite me because there were no marks, but my mind kept telling me, “What if it did?” I became so convinced that I checked cctv from nearby shops to verify it. The footage didn’t clearly show it, so I went to a doctor and asked them to check me. He said I hadn’t been bitten and there was nothing to worry about.

Even after that I still kept thinking, “What if the doctor missed something?” and I spent about a month worrying about rabies as rabies symptoms show after a month until enough time passed and I felt relieved.

I also have a lot of health anxiety in general.
I also wash my hands a lot because of contamination fears and clean my phone every day because it feels dirty

It’s honestly concerning and frustrating how casually some influencers recommend pharmacy creams to thousands of followers as if they’re dermatologists. Skin isn’t one size fits all and prescription products come with risks and side effects.
