I recently finished working on my web application, which I spent more than 4 months building, but its marketing has failed. When I started building it, I planned to promote it through influencers (I wanted to offer them a free one-year subscription in exchange for Reels, and later, once I had some revenue, collaborate with them on a paid basis). I also planned to create videos about the app for social media.
The problem is that I reached out to more than 80 influencers, and only 2 responded—and they said they would only work on a paid basis. Their prices are higher than I can afford: $100 for a video on an account with 800 followers but averaging around 3,000 views on Reels.
I also post content daily on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, but my videos get very few views.
In case it helps to understand what I’m building, it’s ReadlyAi.com. In short, it’s an AI chat that answers your questions using information from books.
I’m not writing this to complain. I will continue reaching out to influencers and posting videos. I just wanted to hear what you would do in my situation. Thanks for your time.
