Post op anxiety

Anyone else get crazy post op anxiety that every new little movement has damaged your new ACL??

This is my second ACL reconstruction. My first one (left knee) was successful but I remember I had the craziest anxiety after every new movement that I had retorn/overstretched my new ACL. I obviously didn't though.

Now I'm second time around and I'm going through the exact same thing again. I'm 2 days post op and I am so worried that I've damaged my brand new ACL already. I know I obviously haven't, but it would be nice to hear from others who experience the same anxiety.

Anyone else experience this??

Picked at in grown hairs before surgery

I think I'm maybe just freaking out a bit here but I have surgery tomorrow and I really want everything to go to plan. I have had in grown hairs for ages and a habit of mine is to pick them. I didn't even think until now but I've just remembered they can get funny about cuts/marks on your legs before ACL surgery.

I know this is probably a very niche question but does anyone on here also have an ingrown hair picking problem and had no problems with their surgery??

I know this might sound ridiculous but I'm just really stressed. Getting this surgery done means a lot to me as im sure you all understand. I really just don't want anything to go wrong :(

As soon as I started getting on the stationary bike I feel like my ACL prehab took a massive leap and from there I felt more stability in my knee and was able to start getting more squat depth.

What's really worked for you???

This might sound silly but I'm really not sure if I have an epigastric hernia or an oblique tear. I of course have tried to go doctors and will continue to try and get seen by my GP but as people in the uk will know, its almost impossible to get a GP appointment these days.

This all started about 2.5 weeks ago at the gym when I was doing single arm seated rows. As I pulled the handle for my last set on my right arm I felt a popping sensation in my upper abdomen under my rib and round the side of my right. From that moment on ive had this uncomfortable heavy/pulling feeling in that area. I also have been getting an occasional butterfly like sensation in my stomach from it.

There's no noticeable bulge but I have experienced many muscle tears in my life and this sensation feels very odd which is making me wonder if I have an epigastric hernia.

Has anyone here ever had one? If so what were your symptoms?

Thanks!

I have an interview for the msc pre registration course. Ive done the recommended prep and research that the uni suggested for it but I've not been overly stressed and have the assumption that the university interviews are fairly laid back and not as intense/cut throat as a job interview in the nhs (which I have done plenty of. Some successful some not so successful).

Is my assumption right? Or should I be prepping a lot more?? I feel fairly well versed in what occupational therapy is, what the work involves and I have a lot of health care experience so fele okay answering a basic scenario question but I'm imaging that the questions won't be too challenging. Am I wrong? What has your experience of the msc interviews been like?
