About to start on my journey with investing. Have decided to go down the route of pocket to start with.

1 - is it really as simple as just “buying” the one I want. I just looked at the one I wanted said I needed to spend $65 so I could buy 3 shares

2 - what happens at tax time. I get tax on the interest, or only when I sell? I also assume I won’t be making a lot so I’m not too worried, just curious.

3 - If I buy in pocket, can I see it on commbank app?

4 - I also set up Commsec, but no idea how to use it!

5 - I plan on investing $100 a month. Should I keep to the same, or choose 2 or 3?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊

Not sure if this is possible to post in here. I live in a townhouse mid Gold Coast area. I have a retaining wall that is in desperate need of being replaced, and I have the money they’re ready to pay for it. I’m just finding it hard getting quotes. They are heat that it’s a townhouse and they’re not interested, or they come and have a look and then don’t send a quote through. Any ideas of a good retaining wall place that will be able to do the job? Hopefully sometime sooner rather than later has the wall is actually collapsing and pushing on a boundary fence

Was recommended to buy Goodsole as a nice casual but dressy shoe for work. Does anywhere know where I can try on some in a shop? My sizing. Story’s. My Franki 4 are 9.5, my sketches are an 8. I really want to try them on before I buy, fur size and to fit my flipper wide feet 😂

Joined the HRV club about 3 months ago. First Honda and I absolutely love her!

Just wondering best place to get a dash mat. I found fitmycar.com.au. Says they are made in Australia. Are they reputable? Any suggestions on where else to find one?

Thanks ☺️

First time poster (and only new to Reddit).

My daughter has a part-time job, and has saved about $7000. I’m looking at getting her to invest in ETFs. I’m well aware that it’s for a long-term, and she’s eager to do this as well.

I also have about $5000 that I want to invest to myself as well, again for the long-term benefits.

I’ve seen numerous people mentioned going to some kind of broker. Are there any reputable ones? I don’t feel confident enough to do it on my own just yet.
