So, in the end, what were they talking about ?

A maximum power Kamehameha? A wide explosion like Piccolo's Hyper Explosive Demon Wave? A form like Cumber's Super Saiyan 3 Full Power in Dragon Ball Heroes?

To begin, I'm going to debunk the arguments of those who think Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru... > Garp, Sengoku...

According to Jinbei, the Navy Headquarters, under the leadership of the new Fleet Admiral Sakazuki, have become an even more powerful force of justice than before. Many people interpret this as meaning Sakazuki > Sengoku. However, it was the World Government that made the Marines stronger through the World Military Draft, not Sakazuki himself. Jinbei says it on the same page: the plan the Government enacted to fill that hole granted the Navy an unexpected power. When you read a page, you have to read it from beginning to end. And even if Sakazuki were responsible for it, it would only be a "leadership feat "and it wouldn’t even prove that Sakazuki’s leadership is superior to Sengoku’s.

Sakazuki did not make the Marines more powerful — it was the World Government that did it.

The three Admirals have been presented as the greatest fighting force in the Navy. Even the World Government refers to them that way. Even after Fujitora and Ryokugyu replaced Aokiji and Akainu, the Admirals were still called that. They are the most powerful officers the Marines have to offer and the only ones capable of fighting the Yonko. Sengoku and Kong, the two former Fleet Admirals, were Admirals in their youth. Sengoku even led the Marines alongside Garp during the era of Roger, going up against the Pirate King, his equal Whitebeard, and the other legendary pirates of that era.

All the Admirals of Navy HQ are \"the greatest fighting force\" and not just the OG trio.

Certainly, the Marines currently rule the seas, whereas it was Roger and Rocks who dominated during the prime of Garp and Sengoku. However, this could also mean that the pirates of today are weaker than the pirates of that era. The pirates of Sakazuki's era : Shanks, Kaido, Big Mom, Blackbeard... The pirates of Garp and Sengoku's era : Roger, Prime Rayleigh, Prime Gaban, Prime Whitebeard, Oden, Shiki... Anyway, it has already been stated that Sakazuki’s Navy is a most powerful Navy than Sengoku's thanks to the World Government. That said, the fact that Sakazuki commands this Navy does not make him the most powerful Fleet Admiral for now.

The Marines only rule the seas today because the pirates of this era are inferior to those of the Roger era.

And finally, the only source that claims Akainu is the strongest Marine in history is fake.

Akainu is not the strongest

As previously mentioned, Garp and Sengoku led the Navy against the Pirate King and other legendary pirates. They are among the major figures of Roger's era, alongside the Pirate King himself and the strongest man in the world, Whitebeard. Garp cornered the Pirate King on many occasions. Although he never managed to capture him, he was never killed either. Even though it is known that Roger and Garp fought several times with the clear intention of killing each other, no victor was ever declared. Eventually, Garp and Sengoku managed to capture one of these legendary pirates, Golden Lion Shiki, after a battle that devastated Marineford. Tsuru is just as legendary as the other two. She joined the Marines at the same time as them and is feared even by high-ranking pirates like the Warlord Doflamingo. In summary, the young Garp and Sengoku, and perhaps even the young Tsuru and Kong, are comparable to, or even equal to, Roger and Whitebeard, the most powerful pirates in history alongside Joy Boy.

Prime Garp and Prime Sengoku are as strong as Roger and Prime Whitebeard.

Today, although not as weakened as some might think, Garp is still weaker than he was at his peak. This didn't stop him from standing up almost single-handedly to five commanders of Blackbeard, including the former Admiral Kuzan, and several New World pirates. Kuzan described the battle as them all rushing Garp together and failing to even kill him, though they did capture him. During the battle, Garp was treacherously pierced by Shiryu's Haki-infused sword, but he still managed to clash on equal terms with Kuzan, nearly speedblitz him and knock the former Admiral down with a punch, and seriously damages the mountain of the Pirate Island, Hachinosu. Garp is worth 3 billion berries, like any Admiral. In short, Old Garp is equal to, or even slightly stronger than, an Admiral like Kuzan, who fought on equal terms against Akainu for ten days before losing this fight that transformed Punk Hazard into a semi-hot/semi-cold island separated by a large chasm. Obviously, Prime Garp is logically superior to Akainu and Aokiji.

Old Garp is equal, if not stronger than an Admiral

Conclusion: Neither Akainu nor Aokiji surpassed Garp and Sengoku's primes. The latter were comparable to, or even equal to, Roger and Prime Whitebeard, while the other two are on par with an OLD Garp.

In the final Neo Egoist League rankings, Kaiser and Lorenzo finished 1st and 2nd respectively, ahead of Blue Lock's two top players, Isagi and Rin. Ness finished just ahead of Bachira, but behind Shido and Baro. Charles finished just behind Bachira, but ahead of Chigiri, who himself finished just ahead of Agi. At the start of the NEL, Ness was valued at 50 000 000, the same as Isagi after Germany's match against England, where Blue Lock's hero notably made two assists (one unintentionally). He was therefore ahead of all Blue Lock players at the beginning, ahead of most of the team after the second match, and started to be overtaken by the Blue Locks after the third. However, he surpassed himself during the fourth and final match, finishing as the fifth highest-ranked player in the entire NEL (excluding the masters, of course). Kaiser was always the first, starting with a value of 300 000 000.

At the start of the NEL, Grim was ahead of Rin, Blue Lock's top player, whose value was then 36 000 000. However, by the end of the phase, he was tied only with Niko, who finished the NEL in 15th place. Birkenstock, initially, was only behind Rin and Bachira, but finished behind Zantetsu, who finished the NEL in 19th place, but ahead of GF Fukaku, who finished in 20th place. And finally, Mensah, the lowest-ranked player in the group, finished the NEL tied with Raichi, who finished in 21st place.

In summary, the majority of the group is at least comparable to the players of the Japanese U-20 team, or at least was comparable to what they were before training for the U-20 World Cup. Only Kaiser and Lorenzo remain superior to the Blue Locks (for now).
