Elpis is the sword that Rimuru uses in his fights. Created by Kurobe to adapt to Rimuru's magicules, it has since matured into a Genesis class weapon when Rimuru gave it the name Elpis.

Another grass is green ahh post. To this day I see people arguing if Rimuru has all abilities in the verse or not. Let's take a closer look at volume 23.

VELDANAVA

Veldanava by himself is not really stated to have all skills, but "govern them":

全ての権能を司る存在が相手なのに、今のところは俺の力も通用している。

Even though my opponent is a being that governs all authorities, for now my power is still working.

Veldanava has shown multiple times to use various effects of other skills, but it's never stated he has them. He could revive people like Asmodeus skill, he could teleport without spatial manipulation, he could seize someone's soul like Beelzebuth etc. It seems like his abilities takes a form of a skill when he is giving them to someone. But he himself is above the concept of skill. They are just his abilities. It's as if everyone would need a skill "run" to running, but you can just do it naturally.

MEMORY

Memory is stated to contain all information about all events as vivid records.

世級][ジェネシス]なんだけど、この基軸世界を含めた[遍][あまね]く三千世界での出来事全てが、この 剣に鮮明な記録として刻まれているのさ」

“Sorry to keep you waiting. This sword is called ‘[Memory].’ It’s the eighth [Genesis-Class] blade I forged after being revived, and every event from the three thousand worlds—including this cardinal world—is engraved within it as a vivid record.”

それを聞いた俺は、『アカシックレコードかよ!?』と突っ込みそうになった。

Hearing that, I almost blurted out, “What is that, the Akashic Records!?”

Now we have to stop for a moment and think about it. Veldanava said he created this sword after he revived. But it's never stated that Memory stopped gathering information about events after being created. On top of that Rimuru called it Akashic Records directly so we can use original AR as the reference.

What I am trying to say is that sword should contain information about skills like Nodens, Cthulhu, Yog etc. Everything what happened to present moment is engraved in that sword. Also 3000 thousands worlds is a reference to Buddhism and means all of existence. It's not literal 3000 worlds.

Someone would ask "But Veldanava said he doesn't have Nihility Collapse. If he would have information about it in Memory, he should be able to recreate it"

I don't think that's the case. Rimuru unlocked Nihility Collapse thanks to Ciel, a manas. Recreating this ability without Manas may be impossible, even with having Raphael's abilities. Memory surely contain info about NC but he can't recreate it because he is not a Manas. Having information is the one thing, but being able to use it is another case.

So in summary:

Rimuru ate Veldanava, who has all powers of all skills (almost all since he lost NC ability after world creation) and Memory which contains all information in the world.

Even if we don't agree that Veldanava has all abilities in verse (for some reason Tensura wiki don't accept it) then Rimuru still should be able to recreate all skills in existence due to information contained in Memory.

So I guess we should stop with arguing if Rimuru has a certain skill or not. Because he has them all at the end of the story.

In a neutral universe where both power systems work

Both have surface level knowledge about each other's powers. (Meaning both know they can do said ability but not how it can be done)

Hello guys. So I wanted to make a post about the subspace today, but then I saw this post, where most people were placing rimuru 2nd to last, right above mahoraga. So I'm gonna make a post about rimuru's Adaptability.

Firstly, I'll talk about the skills which rimuru can use to copy opponents skills.

Shub-Niggurath- Has both Skill Creation and Skill Duplication. He can create or duplicate any skill which he has analyzed.

Ciel- It has alteration, All of creation, Analytical Appraisal, Chant Annulment, and Synthesis,

Others- Soul Gluttony, Usurper, Mammon, Artist, Yog-Sothoth, and Analysis.

Possibly- Yog-Sotohort (It isn't in rimuru's skill storage, but rimuru saw this ability multiple times, and he has all the prerequisite abilities required for this)

These are all the skills rimuru has, either directly or in his skill storage, that allow him to copy, analyze, and evolve any skills that his opponents have.

The only skills which might be missing here are Guy's Lucifer and Nodens, and Vega's Azi Dahaka. Azi Dahaka is similar to Beelezebuth, so it's the same weather i add it or not.

But guy's lucifer and nodens weren't in rimuru's skill storage. Now I can say that rimuru has every single skill in the verse, because he has "Memory", which contains every single record of the past in all the worlds, but it's not specifically confirmed, so I'm only using the ones he has.

Rimuru has 'Imitation' and 'Analyze and assess', which Shuna used to instantly analyze, undertsand, and upgrade 3 different ultimate skills, all at once.

Rimuru also has usurper, which allows the person to copy any skills and arts that their opponent has. This ability only works on enemies stronger than them. This ability is not able to copy abilities which are attached to ones soul, such as unique and ultimate skills.

Note: This ability works based on speed. So if a person has immeasurable/irrelevant speed, that means they will instantly gain the abilities of an enemy stronger than them, as soon as the battle started.

Rimuru also has artist, which allows the user to recreate someone, he has never met, at their full power in their prime.

Note: Rimuru can use his parallel existence to analyze all the skills of a specific opponent in his imaginary space while his parallel existence is fighting in the real world. There is no specific restriction on this ability other than relying on the user's own spiritual capacity to house the imitated power. Meaning, if rimuru has enough spiritual capacity, he can effective copy anyone's ability whenever he wants.

He also was able to copy Velgrynd's carindal acceleration in the midst of battle.

Hinata also stated that rimuru can learn anything after seeing it a single time, or after a single repetition. Using Yog-Sothoth, or it's evolution Yog-Sotohort, rimuru can know any future in which his opponent uses their ability, and instantly copy that ability.

Note: The exact capabilities of Yog-Sothoth or Yog-Sotohort are unknown, but it essentially allows the user to essentially be nigh-omniscient knowing every single future and choosing the best possible future for themselves.

Since rimuru has infinite energy via void collapse, he will always know and choose the best possible future. Also, there is a direct limitation to Yog-Sothoth and Yog-Sotohort it's that the ability won't work in stopped time. But this limitation is easy to avoid, which I will explain below.

Every single skill that rimuru analyzes/sees once, will never work on him again. He always develops counter measures for all skills he has analyzed, effectively giving him resistance to every single skill he has, and will have.

Note: Velgrynd's EP was higher, and even before he evolved into a True Dragon, he was still able to defend against all of Velgrynd's attacks. So even against stronger opponents, rimuru will still adapt to be able to defend and win against all of them given he has enough time.

Note: As I said above, Yog-Sothoth is useless when time stop is in play, but there are 2 different ways to avoid this.

1. The person who rimuru is fighting, must analyze the nature of Yog-Sothoth, and understand it's weakness before he can do anything. By that time, Rimuru would've already watched countless futures where the opponent already used all their abilities.

2. The time stop restriction is literally useless against rimuru. There are a few ways to make time stop useless. If you have superior time manipulation (more layers), you can take control of the time stop and forcibly stop it. Or rimuru can just use space-time leap and leap to a time when the time stop is ineffective.

So the time stop restriction, while effective, is useless unless the opponent has more layers of time manipulation or has a direct counter to rimuru's time warp.

Conclusion:

Rimuru can copy any ability he sees even a single time, and combined with abilities such as Artist, Usurper, and Yog-Sotohort, he will always have all the abilities that his opponent has.

Rimuru will automatically gain resistance and counter measures to every ability that he has and every ability that he analyzed from his opponent.

Therefore, rimuru has one of the most broken adaptability in combat. Rimuru will always adapt to his opponent in combat and once he analyzes all their skills, he will not be affected by those skills again.

Edit: I forgot to mention Alteration which he can use to evolve any skill that he analyzed to its maximum potential. And Synthesis to merge any number of skills to make a much more broken skill.
