Black Women Need Not Apply

Black women in commercials/ media:

Black women, I wonder if it's just me, but I understand marketing very well. I've noticed Black MEN are now in almost EVERY commercial with a NON BLACK WOMAN. ( no, I don't care who they choose, personally. That's not the focus).

This dating dynamic is popular in reality, so it's normal TV wants to mimic it. But since Trump took office, It seems the media has COMPLETELY ERASED Black WOMEN in television commercials or in media representation.

My opinions on WHY, are as follows, but tell everyone what you think 🤔

  1. Because we no longer have prominent Black women in media. No representation

  2. Because biracial women have filled in the slot as representing " black women ".

  3. Because in my opinion, black women don't integrate well into society.

We don't usually have non black female friends as a whole, nor do we date anyone who isn't black as a whole, statistically. In the eyes of the OUTSIDE community, this makes us appear hostile, tribal and closed off to anyone OUTSIDE the black community.

  1. Black men integrate much better than black women because they date ALL races and they're more willing to have non white friends also. This makes them appear more open to assimilation and overall integration, so doors naturally open more for them.

  2. Black men have high profile media representation; sports heroes, famous comedians, actors and rappers whom non black dudes look up to, and try to emulate because of the bravado and masculinity they wish they had.

  3. Black men throw black women under the bus and align themselves with whites, latinos etc against black women.

What is your opinion?

I know this is gonna get under some people's skin, but..

Some uploads have me questioning the poste'rs validity.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but some pictures actually seem like straight rage bait.

Pictures where the hair isn't just shapeless, which is fine and not an issue, but uploads so terrible, that you're left wondering if the poster is actually serious.

I hate to ask this question, but rage bait is REAL, and it's happening more and more across black platforms in particular, and platforms for people of color in general.

I'm starting to hate the question;

" WHAT DO YOU THINK?" because with some uploads, I'm literally scratching my head and thinking, "Wait, Are they SERIOUS, or " Is this..REAL?!"

Hello 👋

I've never been on a cruise ship, but I'm planning and saving for a solo cruise between November 26- January 27.

I decided to check out Virgin because I'd prefer a child free experience. However, almost immediately after looking at the prices, I panicked because they seem REALLY high!

Then, I went to Google which states Virgin isn't higher, it's equal to the other cruise lines because it's an all inclusive line ( except alcoholic drinks, high end coffee and wifi).

Honestly, now, I'm even considering MSC at this point, I'm hoping for a cruise that's like $2500 or less for 5-7 days.. If I can get a balcony room and the drinks pkg, that would be AWESOME!.

Hoping y'all can steer me in the right direction for best rates plus balcony, ( REALLY want a balcony), since I'll be spending plenty of time in my room.

Has anyone been on all of the cruise lines or at least familiar with VIRGIN/ MSC / CARNIVAL/ PRINCESS / NCL and can give advice on which line had the best rates?
