The Case for Reggie: Reggie is the ultimate safety net. He risks his badge, reputation, and even his life to keep Delsin grounded. He doesn’t want Delsin to be the strongest Conduit; he just wants him to be a good man. His love is unconditional. Even when he’s arresting Delsin, he’s doing it to keep him from getting into worse trouble.

The Case for Sae: Sae is a catalyst. He realized that if he stayed nice to Rin, Rin would always be a dependent, lesser version of himself. By becoming the villain, Sae forced Rin to develop the Ego needed to survive in the world. He didn’t want Rin to be happy; he wanted him to be elite.

The Verdict: Is Reggie better because he died to save his brother’s soul? Or is Sae better because he lived to give his brother a purpose, even if that purpose is driven by pure hatred?

In the main games, your morality determines your powers, your look, and the ending. But in the expansions, you just play the story as written. It feels weirdly inconsistent that the main games force you to choose, but the smaller titles don't care about your "Karma" at all

Did the developers realize the Karma system was too restrictive?

Or was it just a budget/time-saving measure for the DLCs?

I actually found it refreshing to play as Fetch without worrying about accidentally killing civilians and losing a "Hero" rank. I wonder why they haven't tried a full-scale game without the Karma system yet. What do you guys think?
