MacBook now vs wait for next gen? (MBBS student confused af)
Hey everyone,
I’ll be joining MBBS this year and planning my setup accordingly.
Already sorted most of my ecosystem (phone, tablet, earphones etc.), so naturally thinking of getting a MacBook next.
Budget: around ₹2–2.5L
Usage:
Notes making & storage
Study-related work
Light productivity (nothing too crazy like video editing etc.)
Now I’m confused:
👉 Should I get the current M5 MacBook Pro right now?
👉 Or wait till September / next refresh?
I’ve been seeing a lot of rumours about upcoming MacBooks having things like OLED displays, touchscreen, redesign etc… but not sure:
Will those even come this year?
Will they be in this budget range?
From what I read, major redesign might come late 2026 or even 2027 😵💫
So not sure if waiting actually makes sense.
Also earlier I was considering a gaming laptop (I do love gaming), but honestly:
too bulky for college
not really aligned with studies
So I went for a PS5 instead 😂 (best decision tbh)
Now just need a solid laptop for college life.
What would you guys suggest?
Buy now and be done with it
Or wait a few months for potential upgrades
Would really appreciate some practical advice 🙏

Just bought PS5 Slim — is PSVR2 actually worth ₹47K? And what about a racing wheel?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a PS5 Slim Disc (1TB) and I’m planning to upgrade my setup further with a VR headset and possibly a racing wheel.
I mainly love racing games and horror games. I’ve already played a lot on my PS4, and now I’m looking for a more immersive experience.
I had a few questions before I spend around ₹47K on the PSVR2:
• Is PSVR2 actually worth it in 2025 at this price?
• How good is the game library right now — especially for racing and horror?
• Is durability an issue? I’ve seen people complain about cable damage.
• Do people actually end up using it long-term, or does it get boring after a while?
Also, for racing specifically:
Would a steering wheel setup be a better investment than VR?
I’m trying to decide between:
PSVR2
Steering wheel setup
Both (eventually)
BTW GOT THE BUDGET FOR BOTH…so if both are worth it then I may go for both
Would really appreciate honest opinions from people who’ve actually used it long-term.
