My thinking is that I highly doubt they have read my application by now if I submitted it so close to the deadline and it's only been a week. I think I submitted it at like 3 PM EST and I confirmed that they got it. The reason I did is because I was awaiting the results of a national competition that I did and I wanted to put it on my waitlist form, got 7th in the nation btw! :D

I was talking with my friend who is a student at UW and he saw this number and was somewhat surprised, he said that this means UW will give a lot of financial aid but I literally have never heard of this before. Can someone explain a bit more in depth what this means in terms of financial aid for the University of Washington?
