Advice needed for my use case

Budget: $1000-2000

Country: US

Use case: Gaming on 65" OLED LG G3 (But also productivity)

Prefered Specs: At least 1TB Storage, enough Ram to play comfortably (unsure of a good CPU to rival a PS5Pro)

Notes: I ma trying to compete wiht a PS5 Pro on my TV

Hi, so I’m looking to evolve my gaming lifestyle at home. Here is my current set up. Right now I have a PS5 under the bed and I typically use either my OLED TV on the wall or a pair of VITURE Beast XR glasses.

I am looking at getting either a PS5 Pro, ROG Xbox Ally X or perhaps a gaming laptop. I have a question about the laptop scenario:

Since the PS5 pro would look as good as it would look on my OLED or in my XR glasses, if I had a gaming laptop with a 5070 in it, for example, and I am docking that to my LGG3 OLED will it look as close or nearly as close graphically speaking as the PS5 pro would? I know it would take some tinkering in the settings on the laptop to get close, but I was curious how close it would be.

I was looking for something that would be somewhat portable, not that I am traveling much or anything like that, in fact, I would play it mostly in the bedroom at night.

I like the idea of the bigger library that I can get through steam and with my existing windows collection as opposed to the expensive PS5 pro games or subscription Thank you.

XAX owners who also have a PS5/PS5 Pro

OK, I’ll be honest, I need some help. I was a former PC guy up until two years ago when I switched to PS5. I then recently got the itch for a mobile handheld and wanted the XAX. Here’s my thing, I completely understand the graphical limitations of the XAX and should also throw in there that I typically as of lately, like to game and watch movies, etc., with a pair of VITURE beast XR glasses. Thankfully, the glasses are limited to 1200 P at Max and they are dual micro OLED so the clarity and contrast is great.

I’m debating between either getting a gaming laptop, XAX or PS5 Pro

I like the idea of a gaming laptop or XAX almost because of the portability and game availability/steam library/better availability of sales, etc..

I like the idea of the PS5 because I have a LGG3 on my bedroom wall and would love to see how much better things look compared to my PS5.

I’m torn as of which direction to go. Keep in mind, most nights. I’ll probably use my XR glasses because don’t want to disturb my wife with the bright OLED TV, although certainly some days I’ll use that.

If I have a gaming laptop with an RTX 5070, for example, and then I hook that up to my old lead, am I close to the power that a PS5 Pro would have? Certainly it all depends on optimization, but if I tinker with the settings is enough on both the TV and laptop, can I get close?

Fast/advice? TYIA.

My quests to get the Beasts working on my PS5

After all of the trial and error, ive just decided to jury rig the Pro Dock set up and keep things as minimal and hidden as i can. The HDMI cable is tucked in the mattress and I decided to keep the Pro Dock "mobile" so i can charge it and lay it on the mattrress while im playing.

Still looking for an adaptor solution and (while i dont fully understand the tech which is limiring it's easy of use) I i dont know why it is so difficult.

I've heard to maybe try the PSVR to PC adaptor or other (almost any) 8k/60hz 4k/144hz adaptor. Wish i knew.

OK, i have a pair of Viture Beasts and i use them with my PS5 under the bed, but just bought an XAX. So far the experience is pretty solid, but, the overall graphical results from the PS5 are better by a little bit.

I am trying to decide if i keep the XAX or return it, sell rthe PS5 and buy a PS5 Pro. I dont travel much and truthfully, only use the XAX at night. The pros are that i have a lot more games on the XAX that are more affordabel, but i can always find games used for the PS5 if i wanted to go that route. I dont travel, though i have a trip coming in June. It would be nice to have the XAX for that, but then ill come home and only use it at night.

OR, OR, I alos purchased a Switch 2 since i bought that first and have a 3 month return window. Perhaps i return that, sell the PS5 and then get a PS5 Pro.

Any thoughts would be appreciarted ,thanks!!

Hi, I have a stubborn fingerprint spot that I can’t seem to remove from my 65 inch LG G3. I’ve used a microfiber and small circle swirls as well as a tiny bit of distilled water and can’t seem to remove it. It’s not noticeable debt on just from the sides. Thoughts?

With the new feature of the auto SR for the XAX, rather than try and play a game like Spider-Man at 1200P is it more beneficial to bump the resolution down and have it upscale since the Viture glasses are acting as an external display?
