There is a tube manufacturer in the UK, however they only make the glass element of the tubes. I will nonetheless be contacting them.

Genuine question of mine, as I'll be inheriting a pretty decent amount of money soon and so am wondering if it would be possible to start a very small operation, even if at very high costs, creating a few. I also wonder if it would be possible to do something of that style using NOS tubes, after creating a very good chassis, and eventually build up to restarting production of tubes.

I am aware that Dotronix is still producing CRTs, but not using new tubes, leaving Thomas Electronics as the last manufacturers of CR tubes. I'm wondering it it would be possible to get a tube from Thomas Electronics, and get a boutique manufacturer to put it in a casing/chassis or even do so myself, as a proof-of-concept. I'd be genuinely willing to do this, if you can do it for under 70k USD. Possibly after that it would be manageable to start larger-scale production, or maybe it'd just have to be left at that. I'm completely uninterested in any profit/gain from this, I'm just a bit of a geek when it comes to old tech and have watched the revival of things like cassette players and QWERTY phones, which although are obviously far easier to make, but still something that had largely faded out of production until lately.

I've also found https://moores-glass.co.uk/products/cathode-ray-tubes/ which is also of interest to me. I'm going to submit an inquiry to all the manufacturers and possible manufacturers I can find, but am wondering if anyone else has tried such a vanity project, whether successfully or unsuccessfully.

I'm also looking into getting a LPD display and making a chassis for it and will also update everyone on that :) Sorry for the bad english, it's not my 1st language

Hi! I don't really know where to put this but am guessing here and the KMFDM forum are probably the best places, since they've performed there in 2025 too.

I'm going to see PIG in Manchester in December. The policy seems to be 14+, but under-16s need to be with an over 18. I'm under 16, but don't have anyone to go with, and so am going alone. Are they strict with ID checks? Most of the time people think I'm 17-18 :)

Thanks so much in advance :D

I'm due to go on t soon. Would topical estrogen pills completely prevent atrophy? I don't want pelvic floor issues. Most interested in the experiences of those who have been on T for many years :))
