How to treat?? TW:SH

Less than 24h from initial injury, no pain, or bleeding. Wound seems to be reaching in depth to hypodermis. Haven't done anything with it, simply stopped the bleeding, didn't clean in any way or cover, just my hoodie

7WPO from Breast Reduction-Healing or Stalled?

I'm at 7WPO from a breast reduction, lift and implant placement. We have gone from wet dressings to dry dressings. Right now the surgeon (who I see pretty regularly) is having me change the dressings every 12 hours with regular gauze and a thin layer of triple antibiotic. It normally bleeds in several places and there seems to be great blood flow to the area. I don't want to scour it and make it bleed more now that there is plenty of blood flow (if I don't have to).

What dressing regime would you have because what we have done so far is not making much of a difference.

Thanks so much for your help!

2nd degree burn treatment

At first I thought I'd been bitten by an insect but I am 90% certain I have actually burned my foot on my hot water bottle last night. I worked a night shift so got home and just passed out, but the hot water bottle water must've been so hot it gradually burned my skin away.

Anyway I've woken up with a wound that has slowly grown into a massive painful blister over the day to the point where I can barely move my ankle without it tearing/pulling at the skin at the base of the blister which is really inflamed.

I will try going to the emergency doctors tomorrow, but does anyone have any advice on what to do/not to do to avoid irritating it further and making it worse..

I work full time, long shifts on my week so I'm a bit worried about having to be back at work in 4 days when I can hardly even hobble around my own flat.. :(

Looks like a possible small hemorrhage on the white of eye?

So I haven’t rubbed my eye. I know it’s possible I did and didn’t realize it or rubbed it in my sleep, but I’m fairly good about not rubbing my eyes. It started a few days ago as just redness spread out. Now it’s mostly the red spot and it’s super agitated/bruised feeling and making my eye feel itchy and blurry. Any advice on how to get some relief or what this could be.

Nail biting habit gone wrong. What should I do?

I’ve had a habit of biting my nails for a while, and just a moment ago I’ve over done it. Genuinely what should I do??

For reference, the Lower Portion of my nail had gotten soft and I had a strange satisfaction from biting that area because it was soft ig, I over done it and that part came off.

Can we have people talk about medical history and treatment in the posts, please?

If at all possible, can we have a box or something pop up so that people can give helpful advice? Nothing crazy, but stuff like age, medical conditions, medications/supplements, how long the wound has been going on, and what they are currently doing.

Because it is hard to give good advice when we don't know any of this. And it is really helpful information to know.

is this a bad sign 😭 (tw: cut? A little deeper than surface level?)

This cut I got is pretty fresh. It has stopped bleeding but it isn't like automatically closes like a surface level scratch. I don't think it is deep enough to the subcutaneous level either? Maybe dermis? I don't know I am not an expert. But I'm a little worried due to the openness of it and I don't know how to care for it besides maybe some petroleum jelly and coverings? I'm also worried because it looks like the deepest layer of skin is white-ish or clear-ish and it is freaking me out a little I have never seen that before. It looks like there might be a small blood vessel visible under the transparent layer. I assume that is how it should look but I have just never seen that before on my own body.

18 days after mole excision. Went last week and they said to keep it clean and covered. I'm not sure if it needs further follow-up.

Hi,

My partner had a mole removed and it seemed his body rejected the sutures. He went a few times to get it checked out, I could not attend with him.

Today I had to clean the wound for him, and he said he was asked to just rinse with antibacterial soap and cover with sterile dressing after drying with gauze. I was quite shocked at the sight of it.

When drying with gentle pats, a small amount of dark liquid can be seen on the gauze. When removing his old dressing, there were some small spots of what I believe to be green.

My partner insists it is looking better. I am really not so sure.
