This may not be the correct place for this, and if so I'm sorry.
The computer has Windows 7 Enterprise, and is an HP Pavilion G6 series laptop.
I found the update file but have no idea how to use it.
EDIT: I was using a slightly different file than what I needed to use. If anyone has problems in the future ask HP for help directly.
Hey friends, after 1 or 2 months since that post I made about my experience with Windows 7, I'm here to do part 2. Well, to be honest, I haven't had any problems so far, it works normally according to my taste, although this varies from person to person, obviously... Regarding Steam, it's still working without that "no support" message, I forgot to take a screenshot. About some comments I received, about Discord and one about Fall Guys, I apologize, I haven't tested that yet, but I'll bring another post about it soon... Thanks for your attention :)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8400F
RAM: 16 GB DDR5 Single Channel
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600
SSD: 1 TB NVMe
Used a patched EFI file, allowing Windows 7 to boot on modern UEFI Class 3.
Mostly works except Wi-Fi and AMD Radeon RX 7600 due to lacks drivers for Windows 7. 😔
Also can't use the power button to shutdown. 🫠
I was thinking of getting a 320gb hd, and doing a tri boot, I use linux, and I wanted nostalgia, and I thought about doing a tri boot, with windows 98, windows xp and windows 7, would it be crazy?
So basically I HAD a GTX 1060 and tired to install windows 7 but couldn't because I didnt have USB Drivers
Now I am smart enough to get around that plus Uefi7 however I upgraded my GPU to an AMD RX 9060 XT which I believe does not have windows 7 drivers. I could use my old GPU in another slot but I might sell it same with my old GTX 710. Are there like community drivers for AMD or what
Any help is appreciated
According to this url it maybe work. What is your opinions?
Can i pair 7820X + LGA 2066 with it?
Virtualbox won't install and gives this error. I've tried many versions, but I still get this. What should I do?
I really regret having sold this laptop, because it was the PERFECT Windows 7 Laptop: it was small and lightweight, it was powerful (for a laptop) (Intel Core i5-2410M, 8 GB of RAM and 1 GB GT 520M), and it also looked beautiful and stunning. I don’t think I will ever find another Windows 7 laptop as good as this one 🥲
What's the best virtual machine to run Linux Distros like Puppy etc in win 7 now that Virtual box no longer supports win7?
