look at who was just sitting on my back porch!!!

found this guy on the ground in my backyard and moved him to a tree in our front yard so our 3 dogs wouldn’t get to him. he didn’t seem like he was doing super well but hopefully he’ll feel better being in a shady spot.

****we live sort of near LA btw if that helps figure out what he is

What kid of swallows are these? NorCal

Startled these two as I was leaving work and they came right back and managed to get a vid of them. Love that iridescent shine they have!

Does anybody know what bird made these nests?

I'm sure these are bird nests, they're far too large to be made by insects. Fort Defiance State Park, Southern IL.

Mom sent this from Arizona.

Not from the southwest but he sounds a lot like a northern flicker.

New to filming birds. What is this?

Filmed this little guy this morning. Is this a falcon or a hawk? Thanks in advance!

Western Dark eyed Junco on the East Coast? (Maine, USA)

I’m very use to my slate colored Juncos here in Maine, but today I saw this little brown bodied and black headed junco (first image and top of second image). He looks very similar to the Oregon coloration. How did he get over here? Could he have just been a lucky genetic birth here in Maine?

Second image has one of his slate colored cousins on the left.

What bird is this?

What bird is this?

Philadelphia April 5th. A brown bird hanging with all the pigeons. Is it just an off colored pigeon?

Table top mountain Toowoomba

Was up hiking table top mountain and managed to video a large bird of prey from a distance. I can’t work out what it was and my wife really wants to know.

Can you identify the call?

There's a bird near my shop that makes an interesting call but it stays up in the tree canopy. its nest is about 50ft high and looks to be about 1.5ft in diameter. At this point all my coworkers are curious as well. We're considered coastal San Diego if that info helps. Thanks in advance for any help!

What was this bird in the woods UK?

I didn’t manage to get a good picture or video of it at all as it was flying about a lot, but was just walking through Walton woods in Yorkshire UK, I could hear this bird quite loud making song I’ve never heard before it got my greyhounds attention as she went on high alert when she heard it as if she’d not heard anything like it either or as if someone was squeezing a squeaky dog toy 😂 it’s song and calls sounded different to all the native birds I could hear around, anyway I walked a bit further up the path and managed to catch it flying over the field I was passing only way I could describe it was very vivid bright green wings and a red beak, I wasn’t sure whether it was a green woodpecker at first but I think this was too vivid green, and the tail was too big?? Almost forked?? could it have been a ring necked parakeet? Never seen one in the wild before I only managed to get a small video of it squawking, unless I’ve taken a video of the wrong bird here which is also quite possible 😂
