Western Dark eyed Junco on the East Coast? (Maine, USA)

I’m very use to my slate colored Juncos here in Maine, but today I saw this little brown bodied and black headed junco (first image and top of second image). He looks very similar to the Oregon coloration. How did he get over here? Could he have just been a lucky genetic birth here in Maine?

Second image has one of his slate colored cousins on the left.
