Getting the run-around between Costco, WJ, and my credit card.

WeatJet tells me I'm lying and won't provide me with a transaction history on the GC. Costco is still looking into it. Says I should also go to the RCMP. Credit card insurance won't deal with gift card claims, presumably due to rampant fraud?

Anyway, I purchased a physical GC from Costco in January. Tried to use it in February but when I scratched off the pin and entered the info, it said it had a zero balance.

I've successfully used other WestJet GCs from Costco.

At this point I'm essentially screwed out of $450.

Happy to trade notes with anyone else that may have experienced this. Will post in Costco as well.

Hi everyone! Hoping people can share their experience flying with their pet in cargo.

Im flying from Westjet Vancouver to Toronto at the end of May with my mini poodle in cargo, unfortunately she is too big to fly in cabin. It will be an overnight 4.5h flight. My dog is used to being crated, and she does great in moving cars. She has a bit of seperation anxiety at first but she usually calms down after a bit and just sleeps in her crate. Im going to put a blanket that smells like me and her favourite toy in the carrier.

However she's never flown before so I just have some questions:

- My biggest question is, what temperature is the cargo hold / is it comfortable for the animal? One agent said it will be the exact same temp as the cabin. But another agent said sometimes the cargo hold can get down to -3 degrees?!

- Has anyone used meds like trazodone to help with their dogs anxiety? Is this recommended or no?

- Should I provide water or food for a flight that is 4.5 hours?

- Is there anything else I need to know / I can do to make this trip more comfortable for her?

Looking at Kelowna to Costa Rica in November. Basic is showing up as just over $400 where as Ecoflex is nearly $1000 ... what gives?
