Director and writer of the films, The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, and Nosferatu (2024), is making a werewolf horror movie that takes place in 13th century England and is supposed to come out this year (December 25). Eggers is praised for his psychological horror, his care and attention to historical accuracy, the visual look of his films, amazing use of folklore, and more. He also has stated this film's script is the darkest script he has written yet. What's y'all's opinion and do you think it will crack into one of the best werewolf movies list, be average, or even disappointing? I'm personally hyped.

I've been looking into the 2010 Wolfman production and the Rick Baker story is the one that keeps bothering me.

Baker was hired to do a full practical transformation, faithful to the 1941 original but built with modern technology. Three hours of makeup every single day. Individual yak hairs. A design so good it eventually won the Oscar. Then the director got swapped mid-production and the studio panicked. Baker's practical work got sidelined for CGI transformations he had no involvement in. He said publicly it left him feeling "pushed out." What are your thoughts on the final version?
