r/weightwatchers

I hate to say it but I think I'm done with weight watchers

I'm a physician and I lost 50 lb on weight watchers and encouraged all of my patients to join weight watchers but I can't do that anymore. The 0 points are killing me. It makes no sense logically that I can go have scrambled eggs and chicken breasts and stuff like that and still have 28 points left for the rest of my day. The calories puts me way over the weight limit. People say oh there's zero foods they're meant to be eaten in moderation blah blah blah but weight watchers gives you no guardrails for what moderation is. They just say eat a little bit of it. That's not working for me I need structure and I know I'm not the only one that feels this way but weight watchers you just lost another member. You need to fix this.

Chocolate

Looking for the lowest point value on chocolate. Sometimes I need a dessert and chocolate always sounds good. So, how do you do chocolate- chips, small pieces? I don’t eat dairy, so yogurt is a no go.
Thanks

Constant "Are you pregnant?" comments are breaking me. How do I stop the WFH boredom snacking?

For years, I was the "skinny one." I had my son at 21 and my daughter 18 months later, and I stayed slim through it all. People actually used to tell me I needed to eat more. But around 25, the weight just started piling on—specifically on my stomach and back. My arms and legs look exactly the same, but my midsection has changed completely.

I was in denial for years, but I’m 30 now and finally admitting I have a problem. I work full-time from home, and the boredom snacking is out of control. If I’m not busy for a second, I’m in the kitchen. It’s reached a point where people constantly ask if I’m pregnant, which is soul-destroying.

Has anyone else dealt with "hormonal" or "stress" weight gain that only hits the stomach? More importantly, how do you stop the habit of snacking when you're stuck at home all day? I really need help breaking this cycle.

Has anyone else felt that WW's GLP-1 medication offering is a scam?

If you're trying to find GLP-1 medication online, most websites require some kind of intake process before you pay for a membership or medication fee. I was thrilled when I stumbled upon WW. In under 60 seconds, you can enter your goals, choose your medication, and sign up for a plan.

However, after signing up, you're guaranteed nothing. The process then requires you to complete lab work and go through insurance. I immediately tried to cancel but was locked into a multi-month agreement. When I called customer service, they told me I needed to speak with my care team. I clarified that this was a customer service issue, not a health issue.

I would expect this kind of misleading practice from other companies, but not WW. The signup experience is completely deceptive, and I'm deeply disappointed by how they draw people into signing up for a product they may never receive.

If you're pursuing GLP-1 medication, do not go through WW. Consider a company like Ro instead. It may seem more expensive upfront, but that's because they're transparent about costs from the start.

reversed my fatty liver in 4 months

I was diagnosed with fatty liver in October 2025 and decided to start WW. By January 2026 (down 35 lbs) my liver enzyme levels were almost normal and just this week, May 2026 (down 50 lbs), my liver is completely healthy!

It has been so difficult staying consistent but results like these make it worthwhile!

WW program experiences

Hi! I am a 56 year old female who has 40 lbs to lose, I am debating on joining WW. It’s been years since I’ve joined but am curious about experiences and success rates with the current program. What is it (high level), is it hard (I know losing weight is always hard) to follow. Thank you for any feedback. To help me guide to the right decision. Any other structured weight loss programs that you recommend is also welcome.

Surprising nutrition

I noticed when I logged my dessert, my fiber macro jumped. Turns out Halo Lite salted Carmel ice cream has 6g of fiber. You know what else has 6g of fiber? A serving of steel cut oats (1/3 c pre cooking).

There’s a lot more that goes into what makes a particular food item nutrient dense or not, but I just found that surprising.

Canned chickpeas question

I made a salad with chickpeas today. Heated them up and put half a cup on my salad. I never paid attention to the can before but it said 3.5 half cup servings. There is no way. So I used 3/4 a cup and saved 3/4 a cup for tomorrow's salad. Is the 1/2 cup including liquid? I wont use liquid in my salad. Is the calorie count off? Did LIDL just put in less beans and not change the lable? It was almost 3 half cups. But no way 3.5 half cup servings. Ive been on a plateau for about 2 months so I'm trying to be really careful and wonder if that is throwing my counts off

Budget (WW and $) friendly tips?

With the cost of everything going up, what are some ways you’ve found to help keep grocery costs down but still stay on plan? I’d love to get some inspo and tips if you have them. Thank you!

Apparently you can toggle off the nutrient goals and just focus on points. Has anyone tried this? I don't understand why they can't just show nutrient info AND points.

30 days.. down 11.5

At first I was not happy with that, but now that I look at it, I'm super proud of myself. I know I need to start moving more or some strength training. I bought the year's work and really looking forward to my transition.

New format?

Looks like the food tracking page got an update? I am on the GLP-1 plan. I can’t decide if I like it or not. Did anyone else’s app update like this?

u/chemegeek — 3 days ago

App layout is bizarre?

Is anyone else having trouble finding points total for the day on the app? I literally cannot see it or find it. I feel crazed

Also, now when I type in a food it doesn’t autopopulate w the points so I can see a preview of the points.. you have to press/track the food.

Is it just me?

IBS And WW

does anyone here, currently or in the past, suffer from IBS and use WW? I suffer from IBS and I find it so frustrating that a lot of sugar free options have erythritol in them and I can't have that sugar substitute as it is a trigger for me. I guess my question is, if you suffer from IBS how do you manage WW in your everyday life? I've been at it 99 days and am down 13lbs.

I need help please!! I am at my wits end.

I have been on WW in the past and it worked very well for me but this time around not so much.
I started again May 2025 and have lost 10lbs since, however I’ve been stuck since September with no movement on my weight. I have another 10lbs to go for my goal.
I stick to WW strictly through the week with a treat on the weekend sometimes. I’m active at 4-5 times a week with running, boxing, barre and Pilates.
I meal prep with my partner and chose to go back to WW so I didn’t have to weigh everything we made and only weigh the foods I know are not 0 points. I mostly eat veggies, lean meat, fruit, eggs and 0% yoghurt.
I do have pretty bad bloating and wasn’t ‘going’ everyday however I’ve seen a naturopath and increased my fibre and this has helped.
I have considered cancelling WW but I’m tied in until March 2027 so I really want to try and make this work.
I’m thinking the WW core plan is just keeping me at maintenance instead of loosing.

I have always been a strict "calories" don't exist while counting points type of person. Yes, I know calories do exist of course, but I have always trusted in my points and kept it moving. Being on and off the plan for nearly 20 years I've seen tons of changes made to the plan, but actually seeing calories and stuff in the app is throwing me off.

Sometimes I'll have a good 5-6 points left in my day but teeter past the calorie range they provide. Why are they doing this? Are they losing faith in points? Should I be balancing points with calories now?
