Has anyone else felt that WW's GLP-1 medication offering is a scam?

If you're trying to find GLP-1 medication online, most websites require some kind of intake process before you pay for a membership or medication fee. I was thrilled when I stumbled upon WW. In under 60 seconds, you can enter your goals, choose your medication, and sign up for a plan.

However, after signing up, you're guaranteed nothing. The process then requires you to complete lab work and go through insurance. I immediately tried to cancel but was locked into a multi-month agreement. When I called customer service, they told me I needed to speak with my care team. I clarified that this was a customer service issue, not a health issue.

I would expect this kind of misleading practice from other companies, but not WW. The signup experience is completely deceptive, and I'm deeply disappointed by how they draw people into signing up for a product they may never receive.

If you're pursuing GLP-1 medication, do not go through WW. Consider a company like Ro instead. It may seem more expensive upfront, but that's because they're transparent about costs from the start.
