nine vicious is absolute shit and idk why people glaze him

as someone who listens to a lot of ug music, literally every artist EXCEPT nine i didn’t like at first i have been able to get into and appreciate their music. nine vicious is absolute trash. his voice is annoying and he sounds like he’s trying to do a thug impression on every song, the beats are uninteresting for the most part, and the aesthetics suck too. not to mention he’s corny asl and thinks he’s hard. dude literally posted “they tryna copy me keed and thug” or some shit. BRO U ARE the person ripping keed and thug!!! i understand music is subjective, but it gets to a point where underground fans who only care about being a part of something up and coming will hate on actually talented and original artists like slayr and glaze the shit out of mid rappers like nine

Shltbagger okgutta

Don’t know if my first post got taken down for the album name but yall gotta try listening to okgutta, he’s got crazy song titles, stupid variety in sound and he just keeps dropping music. Has one of the most refreshing sounds I’ve heard in awhile and has music for everyone. His god bless America album was ridiculously good and he just dropped shitbagger with 27 songs on it. He raps about adventure time and Minecraft while still being able to talk about melting someone’s face off. IMO best songs off shitbagger 100kg, birdie vacay, family dinner, the shitbaggers march and Georgetown. And overall best songs I’d say roulette, Deja vu, blood bond, land of oooo, xans make me forget shit, queen and rip bg.

If you wanna catch someone before they blow up listen to okgutta cause it’s insane he’s only got 4k monthly listeners he’s doubled in the last month and I think it’s a matter of time before people find him. I hate gatekeeping fresh stuff that should be heard

My take on the che vs lil o debate is that che has a better discography and is better but osamasons unreleased clears ches unreleased easily

what do u think

90s old heads were probably talking about the 2000s ug the same way we talk now

they probably reacted to soulija boy and lil b the same way we react to 2slimey and che

idk if i’m repeating myself here but i love how these new underground artists are more open to collaborating with each other, no ego, just work and doing shows together, i fw it

maybe 2slimey who also dropped but Prettifun and Echstacy have thrown shi at eachother before

“I’m an artist, not a rapper”

Light yap about this but I feel people make out that this term is racially charged when there’s a much simpler explanation behind it which is most people in the UG don’t really rap. If you look at Lucy Bedroque, his delivery is more closer to singing than rapping. I make music and while I would be considered an underground rapper, I don’t feel like I rap in it and I feel the same is 100% true for most other musicians in the UG. The line between rapping and singing is so blurred now and people just don’t feel like they’re rappers so they say they’re artists because it’s an umbrella term, they can be a singer and a rapper under the term artist. Imo it doesn’t mean they don’t respect rap as an art-form it just explains the fluidity in the music styles.

Why are they left out of the conversation when it comes to ug influences

I definitely feel like TLI built the blueprint for a lot of these newer rappers. Somewhat of a proto-rage style on display throughout a lot of their work from the late 2000s to early 2010s
