reminder, what I’m saying doesn’t involve everyone & people could just not like the album

Since Whole Lotta Red was initially a heavily criticized turned revolutionary album, the people who originally hated on WLR/ became a fan after WLR became liked (nothing wrong with this) now wanted to be the first ones to like the next album (MUSIC) as a fear of missing out

Since MUSIC isn’t subgenre defining like WLR, there’s nothing those fans have to defend about which the fans that originally wanted to be “ahead of the curve” now feel let down because there’s nothing to defend

Another thing to add is about the WLR DELUXE/ grail tape

As soon when MUSIC dropped, there was so many people spreading that there was a grail tape was coming (nothing was coming, it was just people being delusional)

This is important because the grail tape delusion switched towards the WLR Deluxe (also delusion filled)

The main thing I’ve heard from the WLR Deluxe talks was people saying how the “deluxe” now is going to be hated & how it’s not going to be liked from the majority almost like they want it to be hated

(even though wlr era Carti is hugely liked now compared to how it was 5-6 years ago + a lot of early wlr snippets & tracks are already pretty liked now)
