First it’s “free us from Doug’s tyranny” but when he gives his blessing to a candidate, you ACCEPT it? A mere week ago you would have seen such a “blessing” as anything but an endorsement. Dare I say, you would have seen it as a sign of collusion with the enemy. You would have demanded we recall the President and hold a new election to get a new one. Someone who represents the people. Maybe you would’ve thrown your hat in the ring to help us break these chains of tyranny. Instead, you sing his song with further praises?

Has the propaganda truly gone that far?

So you know Nintendo directs? I want to do a TRUGTRUG one with green screens and all that bullshit but we need stuff to announce I only have 1 thing Somone is making to announce anyone have any ideas? Here are my ideas if anyone would like to do them you will be credited

There should be no power. We will keep Phummy as the only mod and he shall do nothing with those privileges outside of updating the banner when the new one is finished and tasks like that. I still belive myself as the “leader” of this community but now it will be less official, we are equals, I am arranging a trugtrug direct with a bunch of different TRUGTRUG media but there will be no power, no endless debates about if I’m a dictator or stupid stuff like that, we will be free, free to TRUG how we please, free to post memes and make trugtrug video games, truly and utterly free, I will continue guiding our community to greater lengths as the leader DougDoug entrusted me to be, but there will be no government, and no power.

I can confirm I am still alive.

Or at least… I think I am.

As the creator of the subreddit, I am unsure if I can remove myself as a mod without involving Reddit itself.

Since that would make me sort of a “permanent mod” I will compromise by doing the following: I shall never hold government office. I would resign the post of Vice President (that I never knew I was even going to get lol) and instead become sort of an overseer who can administer these fair and free elections. Otherwise we would rely on the President themselves to administer their own reelection, which would seem less than fair.

I could provide my input like every other citizen, but I would make no actions that a government official would make. I could only suggest. Essentially the only power I would have would be to make sure the transition of power is peaceful and that elections are fair.

How would you feel about that? Any input? Once we come to a consensus I can put it to a vote.

Why do you guys want to impeach me? I literally said I don’t desire power I don’t know how else I can show you guys that I’m not trying to be a dictator, this post is actually going to blur the lines between this bit and real life beacuse I want to share some stuff.

#1: the reason I said I desire status is beacuse I have self esteem issues, and I was very proud of the fact I had created a whole community and I just really wanted to keep that and not have it fizzle and be forgotten.

#2 why I don’t desire power
Some of you interpreted this as me not caring about the server, that’s not true, I don’t need power to do that, my GONKO spam post got more attention than anything I’ve done as a mod, this whole community was made in the act to make me a mod me being a mod did nothing, and I also feel like other people will have other ideas to use their modship for

#3 being “president” of r/trugtrug has actually been very taxing on my mental health and anxiety, which sounds ridiculous but I have actually been trying very hard to make a better community, this is why I said I’d rather be seen as the “leader” that created this community/revived this community rather than actually having power at all, and also just because being the centre of attention was nice for once

I’m sorry to get kind of depressing there I just wanted to share that before a whole “impeach trugtrug#1fan” movement started, and if it helps to finally prove my goals and that it is not dictatorship, I have been contemplating stepping down from presidency, I don’t think I actually will but I’ve thought about it

Long story short I would like to continue being the leader DougDoug approved me to be, but from now on I am promoting everyone in the government to have more power and authority so I can take a bit of the backseat, for my sake, but also for everyone, as some fresh hands molding this community is probably what we need, and to show I really do care about what you guys say

Recently there have been accusations from PhummyLW and u/TheDougDougFiles about the system becoming corrupt, so I will explain why these accusations came up and why I belive there was a misunderstanding.

The first misunderstanding is us bowing down to Doug. While I do not hate Doug like the rest of you do I do acknowledge the past issues you guys have with him and am always cautious. I would not describe this as “bowing down” to Doug I was just thanking him for approving of my leadership, r/TrugTrug and r/DougDoug are not allies, I would say it’s more of a coexistence

The second (and more important) misunderstanding is that I had pitched the idea to Phummy of becoming a permanent mod, and TheDougDougFiles claimed this is like animal farm in the way where the power is getting to my head, so I am going to repeat what I had said to clear things up;

1: I specified that if the people were not okay with this it would not happen, or it would happen by vote
2: I NEVER said anything about suspending elections, we would still elect vice president every month who would have the same power I do, I was just pitching permanently being a leader here since I belive I deserve it for single-handedly bringing back this entire community, but again if the people disagreed I was planning on listening

In the future I would greatly appreciate co structure crisitism instead of jumping to the conclusion I am becoming corrupt, as if that’s ever the case I am not aware of it and brining it to my attention will help fix whatever the problem is

Hello again. I was not planning on making another part, but when I posted part 1 I realised that I still had more that I wanted to say on this matter. If you haven't seen it here's a link

I think we need to acknowledge a truth about this community. Most of us want the same thing, and that is an active and thriving community. I know that when I create stick fanart, or propoganda posts, it is all with the hope that it will gain traction and bring more people to r/trugtrug.

TrugTrugNumber1Fan does not desire the same. They openly admitted that they desires status. They doesn't wish to have the presidency so that they may better r/trugtrug, they want it for the prestige that it brings them. While this attitude helped for some time, I believe that if this nation moves forward with a leader-centric approach it was backfire. People won't feel the same connection to the community if they join after the democratic experiment failed, and all there is left to do is praise "our glorious leader".

The answer, in my eyes, is simple. As we continue our revival, we need to move past the worship of the president, whoever they might be. It's an attitude that will lead to trugthoritarian ideals taking grip, a path to downfall paved with gravestones reading "the president is always right".

I have done some self reflecting and I have realized what I truly want l.

I do not care about power or being the president, I just care about being the leader, I care about being the icon this subreddit needs.

So if I don’t get elected for a second term I just want to say that DougDoug approved of me being the leader of this subreddit and there is no taksey backsies so I will forever be the leader of this subreddit even if I don’t have political power, beacuse at the end of the day all I care about is this subreddit (and I guess being a big part of it) and I do not care about being a mod even though it is nice

I do not care about power I care about my fame and is that selfish? Maybe, but it’s better than the alternative so I think it’s fine.

I'm going stir-crazy. It doesn't even have to be an important election. I just need to vote on something and make propaganda posts. We need a new arc. Can someone cause drama again? I need to draw something other than the stick for fucks sake. I think this is the worst thing to happen to anybody ever in all of time. I need to criticise a politician for a pro-dougdoug stance and praise another one for an anti-dougdoug stance. I'm not even going to censor dougdoug anymore man. I never wanted to be attorney-general, I was happy as a random civilian. The title should've gone to u/Hazza_time. Why did you guys vote me in? I said that I would attempt to falsely convict all of you. I added my pfp onto a historical painting of Satan. I swear to god if we don't hold another election then I will go crazy.
