It would be a conflict of interest to have him run the election when he’s on the ballot. We’ve discussed this. I advise him to remove his post. I could do it myself, but part of the agreement with me running elections is that I will no longer do any official moderation actions.

On this week's show... Atrioc goes to court, DougDoug solves birthrates, and Aiden finds a tiny problem with US trains...

As the creator of the subreddit, I am unsure if I can remove myself as a mod without involving Reddit itself.

Since that would make me sort of a “permanent mod” I will compromise by doing the following: I shall never hold government office. I would resign the post of Vice President (that I never knew I was even going to get lol) and instead become sort of an overseer who can administer these fair and free elections. Otherwise we would rely on the President themselves to administer their own reelection, which would seem less than fair.

I could provide my input like every other citizen, but I would make no actions that a government official would make. I could only suggest. Essentially the only power I would have would be to make sure the transition of power is peaceful and that elections are fair.

How would you feel about that? Any input? Once we come to a consensus I can put it to a vote.

First it’s “free us from Doug’s tyranny” but when he gives his blessing to a candidate, you ACCEPT it? A mere week ago you would have seen such a “blessing” as anything but an endorsement. Dare I say, you would have seen it as a sign of collusion with the enemy. You would have demanded we recall the President and hold a new election to get a new one. Someone who represents the people. Maybe you would’ve thrown your hat in the ring to help us break these chains of tyranny. Instead, you sing his song with further praises?

Has the propaganda truly gone that far?

I feel like I'm the only one who loved the shit out of this game. I know I'm not literally the only one, but naturally you hear the criticism more than the praise. This game combines my one of my favorite game franchises with one of my favorite game types. Its not perfect, but its pretty damn good.

I personally would love to see them get a chance at making another game. I feel like they will have a great game on their hands if given another chance to go and fix the flaws and improve on the formula.

As for the story, I think it would be cool to adapt the story of Kratos getting the ambrosia for Calliope. But obviously that has already been told in the comics.

I get these people are not likely regular watchers of the podcast, because if they were they likely wouldn’t be commenting such stupid bullshit. They don’t understand the premise isn’t three experts. It’s essentially a recording of three friends just talking about subjects that interest them.

I think the issue here also speaks to a broader issue I have with a lot of Big A viewers. They treat him as a news source. If you do this, you are not much better than the old Boomers who watch only Fox News that you complain about.

People are so fucking intolerant it almost makes me wish I wasn’t a leftist. I don’t want to associate with you guys who openly antagonize everyone, even those who are on your side. This includes Tucker AND Aiden. But the point I’m making isn’t about Tucker. The point is that people act like Aiden was supposed to be an expert on the subject. He’s just some fucking guy what did you expect? None of them are experts. If you can’t watch three friends talk about news without you feeling like you need them to agree with you 1:1 to validate your opinions and insecurities, then the show isn’t for you. If this is the case, what do you get out of spreading so much hatred in the world? Why bother leaving an antagonistic comment?

People act like Aiden was going to die on the hill of defending Tucker. How many times can a guy state that he is likely incorrect and doesn’t know enough before you hear him say it? You got hit over the head with it a thousand times and the first thing you comment is “oh wow didn’t know Aiden was such a Tucker supporter.”

It just pisses me off because it’s a broader problem is the world. It’s not just limited to these comments.

I don’t know man. It just angered me and I’m hoping I guess for people to just be kinder and self-reflect. Are they really putting out an example of the people they want to see in the world? Even though I am frustrated with you now, I still will continue to extend my arm and work together to make a brighter future. Would you do the same for someone you disagree with?

I don’t know what I really get out of this post. I guess I wanted to counter balance the hate but I realize I just spent the entire time ranting lol. Anyway those are my thoughts.

I am glad to say that the democratic process I have created and ushered into our great society has done its duty. I have led us out of the bonds of dictatorship and made us all free citizens, and as such, we earned our Trug-given right to vote.

Our new election system, created and engineered by yours truly, was put to the test, and it succeeded. With a record turnout of 5.34%, the people have decided that the citizen known as u/TrugTrugNumber1Fan shall serve a term as a moderator of the subreddit.

This term shall last for the span of one month, in which time we can evaluate the success of our new system, make any necessary changes, and, if appropriate, re-elect u/TrugTrugNumber1Fan for a second term.

All that remains is for u/TrugTrugNumber1Fan to take the TrugTrug Oath of Office.
