[Alpha Update] KlodOnline : Building our new Quest System & Massive UI Overhaul

It’s been a while since our last update! The team and I have been grinding hard to move KlodOnline from "ambitious prototype" to a more cohesive strategy experience.

As always, we’re building this in our spare time, so progress isn't always as fast as we’d like—but the foundation is getting solid. We know the "new player experience" is a hurdle right now, and while most MVP features are now in, we felt it was time to bridge that gap.

That's why I've chosen to focus on our last Major Feature: The Quest System.

It is the biggest architectural shift since our launch. We're building a full-blown "Quest Engine" that hooks directly into our game turns. This will replace our manual onboarding with a dynamic, divinity-driven quest system (favors, missions, and RPG-like objectives) to keep you busy from turn one.

Don't hesitate to give it a try! The game is still available in 5 languages: Klod-Online

You can follow us on Twitter And join our community on Discord

Long intro aside, here is what’s new since last time:

New Features

  • Automated player ranking system (April 7)
  • Message filtering for game mails (April 9)
  • New trading system mechanics (April 21)
  • Drafted new player profile panel (May 10)
  • Detailed fight reports (May 9)

Improvements & UI

  • Big UI/UX overhaul: Completely rebuilt CSS/Front-end for a cleaner, smoother experience.
  • Improved initial placement for new players (March 31)
  • Refined map view and general interface performance (March 30)
  • Multiple quality-of-life improvements across the game (April 27)

Fixes

  • Barbarian targeting logic: Fixed for water tiles and new players (March 31)
  • Rumours system: Resolved various issues (April 5)
  • Chat reconnection: Improved stability (April 12)
  • General polish: Fixed unselectable units and various display bugs (May 4)

Help me identify jargon of each Travian community by language

Hi Reddit,

I recently shared here the online tool I am building for automated calculations:

https://travculator.com/

I am now adding guides to the website (ongoing work), and I realized that most communities have their ways of saying things. For instance I am aware that English speaking communities will call an attack plan an OP, whereas Spanish communities will call them a Round.

As I am trying to keep the website multilingual, I hereby ask for your knowledge on community specific ways of saying Travian-specific concepts, so I can make the website as accessible and understandable as possible for everyone.

Thanks!

Update: table with concepts you guys have given me either in comments or via direct message. I would appreciate help filling the blanks!

As Asia100 comes to a close, I figured I'd post a review/summary of our top raiding Gaul account thats managed to get over 12 million off points.

As background information, we are a team of 8 players from around the world playing within an alliance of friends who have played various different x10 servers before. We planned to come to the server to have fun, ghost some hammers, wall some people and generally dominate, we did end up supporting a friendly alliance in the endgame (8+9) but that was never our major intention.

Attached are some account overview screenshots as well as the more notable attacking reports of the server.

We were consistently top raider, we managed to get the unique boots artifact when they released and we had a small trainer which we rotated throughout our offense villages. We had 5 hammers, 8 ghosts and also raided enough to train some Def as well. Its hard to know till the end of the server but roughly we spent about 30k gold.

If you have any questions, post them below and I'll answer them when I find the time.

Hi guys 😄 !

I have known this game for a very long time and I used to play it with my older cousin. I started a new account on the server Europe 50 and playing alone.

I am getting a little bit afraid since my beginner protection is going off and I am alone without any alliance yet. I will probably get my village destroyed in a bit hahahaha.

Do you guys have any tips that can help me?

I am playing Teutons and I have already trained 3 settlers however I still don´t know where to settle my second village.

Any help would be grateful! Thank you for your attention and good game for all of you guys🔥!

When do oasis resources start producing?

Is it after ALL animals have been cleared once?
If even a single rat remain, no resource prod?
Or something else entirely?

How many troops would you consider to be a “hammer” on a normal server (let’s say 100 days into the server)?

Special Game World question(s)

Hi all, I have not played this game in a long, long time. Currently jumped on a 1x International server to try one of the new (to me) races and dip my toes back into the water - and saw that midweek there is the Travian Nordics 3x starting.

First question is probably a silly one but I'll ask it anyway, is this actually region locked or will I be able to play it based in the UK?

Next, it mentions "Prepare your advanced start" - what is this and how does this work?

I saw Vikings was an introduced race - but they're not getting them out for the Nordic server?!

Not a question but 18c seems wild!!!

This is the ptr.x3 international server and this is one of the top raiders' account

I joined the server late so I spent most part of the game barely surviving and only recently managed to get into a top alliance. Finally able to play the game a bit more freely and started looking around and found this.

Hi everyone, I’m new here and looking for some quick advice. I’m thinking about starting Travian: Legends. I’m into strategy games and have played Conflict of Nations, Call of War, and others like Hearts of Iron IV and Total War, so I’m familiar with the basics of strategy games. Do you think it’s hard to learn? How long does a typical session take, and is it similar to any of those games? And if possible, could someone briefly explain the main mechanics?

I joined a new server since day one (5x) (Roman)

I am using gold and have active gold club

Here is where I am standing:

Settled in 2nd village(9c) (28 fields away)

Planning to have multiple storages and silos…

Planning to build and demolish castle to make it a capital

Planning to create a hammer village adjacent to 9c

Afterwards, I don’t really know what to do?

Am I missing something?

Hi, I am into 2 weeks of playing a 2x speed server and having some troubles understanding the Oasis farming. 🏝️ (I have farm list activated)

I'm using teutons, and training axes + horses. Have many oasis around (24 oasis counting only iron/+crop or clay/+crop) in 13 cells. Pretty much. 💰

There is only one top player riding the Oasis every 10 (damn) minutes everyday sending Huns cavalry 1+1+1 (total of different 3 troops) and he helps keep them clear. 👌

I have 2000 axes 🪓 and 400 horses 🐎 , but I can't send raids every 10 minutes...

▶️ More info:

I was cleaning the oasis before the aforementioned top player arrived raiding my Oasis too. And it was pretty perfect as I was sending attacks manually. Now I can't do it anymore, but I don't want to blind send raids to Oasis and lose too many troops. (I have hospital and everything BTW)

❓ The question is:

How many troops should I send in raiding list so as not have too many losses compared to the gains?

100+20? [axes+horses]

50+15?

200+40 to be sure and raid a little less?

Any kind of help and suggestion can be useful! Thank you!

So, technically I am not allowed to send resource directly to my sitting account? even we are in same alliance.
Funny that I could send resource to my other allies, but not the sitting allies.

Some advice needed regarding an enemies 5th village being settled in Grey Zone.

When natars hit, do they always leave the village 1 pop, no matter how much pop they build before waves?

Low cata numbers and destroying this village matters
