Throne of glass means everything to me

Idk if I’m the only one. I read throne of glass for the first time 4 years ago. That book series made me feel a way I don’t think I will ever feel again. Idk how to describe it but I re read it once a year just so I can become that person I was when I first read it. Idk if I’m the only one but I cry every time I read the book and speak about it with someone! I can’t help it I’m rereading it now and it’s bringing back so much emotions. it’s 7am I just woke up and I’m hysterically crying cause of how much I love this book. Does anyone else feel this way? I think it makes me sad because nothing else in life will ever make me feel as happy and whole as I feel reading it.

Throne of Glass girlies... help!!!

Hello!!! So, I have officially finished ACOTAR and CC (yay🎉) and I'm moving into TOG next. With that being said, I know everyone debates AB first or third, BUT for all of the third people--that's already out of the running. I want to read it first or second but I can't decide.

My only problem with reading it first is that I'm unsure if it explains the magic system thoroughly enough for me to not DNF out of confusion. But, when it comes to reading it second, no one ever says to do that so I don't know if I should.

My Maasiverse people, please help me out!

Doing my reread

Honestly, that’s it lol

I find that I focused so much more on Aelin and her chapters my first time that now I can really focus on the other stuff going on with everyone else more this time around. I forgot how much Dorian makes me kick my feet and giggle lmao

and I’m coming up on the “TO ME! TO ME!” Part and I’ve gotta be honest, friends. I’m preemptively anxious about it cause that whole scene gives me so much anxiety (in the best way) and I love that she used Lorcan as the anchor for her. It just gives me all the feels

Holy crap do I not like Chaol.

I’m on Empire of Storms and I know ToD is his like redemption arc or whatever but fudgesicles I hate this kid. And I don’t have the attention span or the time to do a tandem read so

And I’m so sorry, she absolutely did not “gut Archer in cold blood.” She had a CVS receipt worth of reasons to filet that man alive. His “omg you killed someone” is just so stupid to me and I have no one who’s read this that I can talk to 😬

TOG Book 7 Thoughts (TOD)

NO SPOILER THOUGHTS:

Seriously, if you're still in between tandem or not tandem, don't tandem. It makes no sense to tandem. Read it like it was supposed to be read. They got released like that for a reason, and i completely understand that reason now. You don't need the exact timing of everything to understand what's going on.

If you are dreading this book bc of a certain "aspect" of it, I can confidently say that me and many others find this book to be their favorite one of the series, even if you didn't originally like the specific "aspect" that I just mentioned.

I've said this before, but the only reason I can see why you would tandem is if it's in your bucket list. If not, just don't do it.

ok, now SPOILERS BELOW

  1. What a breath or fresh air. I needed a break from the fae. I like how this book went into a different direction with magic and powers

  2. The big reveal that Maeve is a Valg queen should be the main reason people should read this book AFTER EOS. Why would you want to spoil that? That was so awesome to learn about after the fact that Aelin got taken captive

  3. Yrene is a boss and i love her

  4. i fear Yrene and Chaol are going to die together in KOA. I just know it's coming.... the moment it was revealed that their lives were connected, I immediately thought "they're both gonna die in the end."

  5. This book made me love and respect Chaol even more. Probably one of the best characters growths in this series

  6. I'm am SO EXCITED for the Yrene and Aelin reunion

  7. Idk where I read this but someone said they were upset about the way Chaol didn't even break up with Nesryn before falling for someone else. SHE WAS OUT THERE LITERALLY DOING THE SAME THING LOL. And judge me if you want, but sometimes you just have this mutual unspoken agreement with someone where you just understand that the relationship is closing. This has happened to me before and it was a very peaceful and mutual "break up" on both sides. We were both absolutely fine.

  8. I don't think there's anything that could ever make me hate Chaol.

  9. I have a feeling that a LOT of people are gonna die in KOA. I'm putting my money on Aelin, Rowan, Manon, Chaol and Yrene, maybe Nesryn. I don't see Dorian, Aedion, or Lyssandra dying. Someone has to survive to keep the lineage and kingdoms going for sure. If Aedion dies, it might be to sacrifice himself for Aelin though. But I guess I shall see!

I think that was everything, i'd love to hear your thoughts and if this is how you felt too! On my way to the last book, CANNOT believe i'm almost at the finish line!!

Starting queen of shadows, I’m excited to see what Aelin does

So I just started queen of shadows and I’m excited to see what Aelin does. But is there anything I should look out for. Like any Easter egg?

Nearing the end

Hey, so I have about a hundred pages left and then i’m done with the whole series.. i’ve been avoiding it for a few days now because i know that >!Gavriel!< is going to die and i just can’t bear seeing anyone lose someone they love anymore. Throne of Glass became my fav book series ever and i hate to have to say goodbye to any of the characters.

If anyone is kinda stalling the same way I am, or if you recently finished the series, how are you doing? Just looking for someone to chat about these incredible people before we reach the end🥲

Please no spoilers further🙏🏻

Crossing the Maasverse

There have been a fair number of posts recently from people asking if they should read ToG before the new ACo books come out, and, for the most part, the answer has been a resounding "No, it's not necessary."

This has left me wondering, in a rather * fae wicked * way: anyone else suspect that a ToG crossover with ACo is next up? What are you thinking?

Queen of glass

I heard that SJM wrote queen of glass on fiction press before it was rewritten as tog. I was wondering if anyone knows where to read the book. Also in you opinion is queen of glass better than throne of glass?

Assassin's Blade.

I'm reading throne of glass because it's my partners favorite series. They never read Assassin's Blade but I'm a completionist so I read it after I finished Heir of Fire (just started Queen of Shadows).

I knew what was coming but Sam's death hit me SO HARD. Maybe because she did such a good job at making Sam and Calaena feel so young but I was little standing there after like "he's just a kid!" it was traumatizing. I'm still thinking about it. I was fooled by pirate heists.

When she goes back to The Vaults at the beginning of Queen of Shadows I felt the ghost of him there before she even mentioned him.

I just needed to get it off my chest because I'm stuck at work still staring off into the distance thinking about it. He was just a kid!!! I can't imagine his fear and grief because a grown ass man was a jealous controlling asshole.

Anyway, ready for more I guess.

hi! i first read the throne of glass series 2 and a half yesss ago now and only started to actually get into book collecting. i have all of the original covers (they were still being made/sold when i started reading) except for Assassins Blade, Tower of Dawn and Kingdom of Ash. i rlly rlly want to finish off the series with the original covers bc switching to the new ones over halfway through the series is rlly fuckin bothering me. i don’t want to spend outrageous amounts of money (like $50 or more each. i’d like that to be total but ik better). anyone have any tips?

About to finish KoA and will need something for the inevitable emptiness.

Taking any and all recommendations for my next read when I finish KoA. The plan was Rain of Shadows & Endings but want to hear what ya’ll read after or if you went right in to CC. I don’t plan to do that. I want to sit with our characters for a bit before I jump in.

Edit** Also with ACOTAR 6&7 coming idk if I can finish Cc before then anyway
