NO SPOILER THOUGHTS:
Seriously, if you're still in between tandem or not tandem, don't tandem. It makes no sense to tandem. Read it like it was supposed to be read. They got released like that for a reason, and i completely understand that reason now. You don't need the exact timing of everything to understand what's going on.
If you are dreading this book bc of a certain "aspect" of it, I can confidently say that me and many others find this book to be their favorite one of the series, even if you didn't originally like the specific "aspect" that I just mentioned.
I've said this before, but the only reason I can see why you would tandem is if it's in your bucket list. If not, just don't do it.

What a breath or fresh air. I needed a break from the fae. I like how this book went into a different direction with magic and powers
The big reveal that Maeve is a Valg queen should be the main reason people should read this book AFTER EOS. Why would you want to spoil that? That was so awesome to learn about after the fact that Aelin got taken captive
Yrene is a boss and i love her
i fear Yrene and Chaol are going to die together in KOA. I just know it's coming.... the moment it was revealed that their lives were connected, I immediately thought "they're both gonna die in the end."
This book made me love and respect Chaol even more. Probably one of the best characters growths in this series
I'm am SO EXCITED for the Yrene and Aelin reunion
Idk where I read this but someone said they were upset about the way Chaol didn't even break up with Nesryn before falling for someone else. SHE WAS OUT THERE LITERALLY DOING THE SAME THING LOL. And judge me if you want, but sometimes you just have this mutual unspoken agreement with someone where you just understand that the relationship is closing. This has happened to me before and it was a very peaceful and mutual "break up" on both sides. We were both absolutely fine.
I don't think there's anything that could ever make me hate Chaol.
I have a feeling that a LOT of people are gonna die in KOA. I'm putting my money on Aelin, Rowan, Manon, Chaol and Yrene, maybe Nesryn. I don't see Dorian, Aedion, or Lyssandra dying. Someone has to survive to keep the lineage and kingdoms going for sure. If Aedion dies, it might be to sacrifice himself for Aelin though. But I guess I shall see!
I think that was everything, i'd love to hear your thoughts and if this is how you felt too! On my way to the last book, CANNOT believe i'm almost at the finish line!!
