Hi, so I have a laptop that is on its last leg and would like to upgrade soon. I mostly play the hunter call of the wild so I would like something that can handle max settings on that. Also it would be nice if it could run most newer games. Not perfect, just like 60 fps on medium to high settings is fine. I would like to keep it around $1500 if possible.
i’m looking for a high quality 5090 prebuilt that can ship to canada less than 10k CAD.
Also wondering if anyone can vet starforge? because that is currently the cheapest 5090 prebuilt i can find that ships to my area, link below

my main selling point is a 4tb ssd, and a reasonable price (nothing over 10k)
Hi I was wondering if anyone had some Computer guidance, I currently own a CyberPowerPC Gamer Master Gaming Desktop AMD Ryzen 7 5700 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 1TB SSD and I've had it for around 5 or 6 years now. I'm looking to upgrade to a Prebuilt Computer around $1500 to $1900, I'm not sure which to pick out that's an actual step up from what I have right now.
Best pre built for triple AAA games under 1400$
I am trying to run tarkov/rust with medium/high graphics while maintaining a good fps (60+). any recommendations?
At costco right now this is in for 800 Canadian

I am looking for a decent computer to game on, on a limited budget. I don't play crazy intensive graphics games but my current gaming computer is from 2014 with a 2gb GPU so it has been hitting it's limit even on simple games. I think I've narrowed it down to these two on value for money for the things I have an amateur understanding of (CPU, GPU, RAM) but am wondering which one will hold up better in terms of the parts I don't know how to assess (craftsmanship, PSU, cooling etc).
I've considered trying to build myself for the first time, but these pre-builts seem to be much cheaper than I've been able to find for similar parts on custom PC builder websites. I am in Canada if that's relevant.
Ibuypower ESI5N5602 (At Costco: $1299.99 CAD)
Stoneforged Lance sft-i514f-16-5060-1000n (On Newegg: $1399.99 CAD - was $1299 yesterday but seems to have jumped $100)
It wouldn't let me post with links so I had to remove them but these are easy to find on google :/
Open to other suggestions as well! Thanks for taking the time to read.
I am tossing up between buying a Steam Machine (when it comes out) or buying a prebuilt gaming PC now. My current budget is £1500-£2000, I want to be able to run stuff like marvel rivals and BG3 so preferably 1440p with the possibility of upgrading it to 4k later on. Uni is over until October for me now so it's the best time for me to be able to game, which is why I'm considering not getting the Steam Machine (I don't have a massive amount of time to game during the academic year). I want maybe 1tb of storage but if I have to, I can compromise on that and upgrade it later when I start running out of space. I don't know a massive amount about PCs so building one isn't feasible (and ofc ramageddon happening rn) makes it less realistic to build.
If you have any recommendations then I would appreciate it so much
(edit for spelling)
what’s the best gaming PC or laptop, something I can use for years
and no, I’m not building one, idk enough about computers to build it.
Hi! Wanted to preface that I know little to nothing about computers, but I'm in the market for a PC so I can start getting into some deep learning models (Deep Lab Cut).
Their technical considerations ( https://deeplabcut.github.io/DeepLabCut/docs/recipes/TechHardware.html ) have me looking for the following:
- A pc that runs with Unbuntu 16.04, 18.04, or 20.04
- One where I can use a NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti, 2080 Ti, or 3090 GPU
I have never built a computer but understand that it will likely be easiest to buy a PC and add the GPU later, but I do see some PCs with a NVIDIA 2204 built in, would that work the same?
Any recommendations for good desktops that run Unbutu and have/could have a GPU?
Thanks!
Hey so I'm REALLY new to this scene and my POS plastic HP just broke so I'm looking into getting a gaming PC and I am OVERWHELMED.
I am looking for something small and simple to start out with (I'm going to university in the fall) and I can't spend much more than $1000.
TLDR It has to be:
Are there any cheap gaming pcs that can play 3A games in 2K? Mid-range ones are fine cuz i don't even have a good monitor loll, I just wanna play the games
I'm a newbie in gaming, and am currently only playing old ones like Tomb Raider, Detroit and wanted to play some more recent ones like pragmata and death stranding, but I have no idea what the specs are and i dont know a thing about pcs :')
the current one that I think its great is GTBOX G2 Mini Gaming PC (i9-13900H, 32GB+1TB SSD, RTX4060), but again i just looked at the price and think it's good, are there any other pcs that have similar price (about 1000 USD) and good specs to play a 3A game?
I will be near a Microcenter this weekend and am debating between two Powerspec prebuilts; I am also purchasing a new monitor capable of 1440p 210hz.
and
Microcenter's website lists 1 open box for the G533 available ($1,079).
I primarily play the following games on PC:
Is the build with the 5070 worth the extra $200 ($300 if i go open box) to take advantage of the monitor (at least 144hz)?
I’m completely new to the pc world looking for something that’ll run fallout 4 with mods like frost or fallout London looking to stick to the 500-1500 range but very flexible any advice is much appreciated
Best pre-built for around 1500$.
Looking for what’s the best pc I can get for around 1500. Appreciate all the help
Less than a week ago i made a post about whether to upgrade my pc wholly or to just upgrade my gpu specifically, and well ive come to decide that because my family will help with the purchase that id fully upgrade. I asked a local computer shop to give me a quote on a 5090 build and he came up with this list: 32GB RTX 5090 GPU, AM5 X870e Wifi Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 RAM, AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D CPU, 2TB SSD, 1200W Platinum standard PSU and a new 3 fan AIO Cooler for £4600 including setup and installation (this is including reusing my current 4000D airflow case and fans bearing in mind). I was wondering if i could get some more knowledgeable peoples opinions on whether this is a good price for what im getting and or if i should buy from somewhere else (if theres any good deals, etc), for example my friend is buying a 5090 prebuilt from cyberpowerpc for about 5k. The absolute max price would have to be £5000. i can answer any questions you have, i just would really like some second opinions on this.
To preface this I am not very knowledgeable on the topic of pcs. Am looking for a pc that can run some video games and run music modulators (requires at least 8 gigs of RAM) like neural dsp. I am looking for something prebuilt because I don’t k is anything about building pcs. I am looking to stay within a price range of $1000-$2000, anyone have any suggestions?

I need a workstation for Blender, I used to do a lot of 3D modeling back in high school and college and want to get back into it.

Should I get an ASUS ProArt Monitor? Or are there better choices for cheaper?
I also use art programs like Aseprite and Krita, and have been animating in Aseprite. I plan to do low poly playstation 2 style graphics when I start off again in 3D modeling. I'm more concerned with rendering up to an average of 5 minutes of animation for the forseeable future.
For a budget of around $4k, what is the best I can get for a set up? Without being over the top unnecessary specs. I also need a mechanical keyboard, a mouse for workflow, a monitor with good color. Feel free to reccomend anything useful (with reasoning) that adds up to 3k-4k.
Thank you!
