how do you avoid scratching people with your rings?😅

this might sound random but it’s something I’ve been thinking about lately 😅

I’m trying to get used to wearing rings more often, but one thing that always stays in the back of my mind is… accidentally hurting someone with it

like I actually remember when I was little, my aunt had a ring with a bit of a sharp edge and while she was just being affectionate, she accidentally scratched my face and it really hurt 😭

it wasn’t anything serious but I guess it stuck with menow I keep thinking what if I do that to someone, especially kids or even just when hugging people or touching someone’s face casually

do you just get used to being more careful over time?or are there certain ring styles that are safer for everyday wear?

I need help FINDING and buying a promise ring for my girlfriend!

This is kind of embarrassing but I don't know much about jewelry at all. It you wanna skip the background, then skip the next paragraph lol

You see, I've been dating my girlfriend for a while, but she's studying abroad in another country and I never see her. After a while we can finally afford a shared vacation together this summer, and I really want to get her a promise ring. Maybe it’s stupid, but I want to wait to propose until we are financially secure enough to, not to mention when we are living together and more comfortable. This leads me to my problem:

I don’t know any trusted jewelers, and she likes a very VERY particular style of ring. (I’ll leave references below) I was hoping to get her a silver ring with a leaf design, (she doesn’t like gold) and a gem that’s green (her favorite color), or a something clear, preferably a real gem, not necessarily a diamond but I’m not opposed of that depending on the price. (If the ring is partially customizable that’d also be perfect but it’s not necessary) I don’t want to get scammed, but unfortunately my area doesn’t have good jewelers around, so it’ll likely have to be an online purchase.

**I need trusted websites and jewelers that’ll have something like this. Does anyone have suggestions?

I have a picture of rings she sent me that are her style, which I will attach under this. Lastly, when she went to get her finger measured apparently they were stock sizes? She said (direct quote from text) “I’m 6.03cm, it’s a little larger but the one before was 5.9cm and it was too small, the lady said fingers swell so it’s better to get a little bigger.”

Thank you so much for your help!

I didn’t expect this jewelry to get so many compliments…

Picked this up recently and honestly didn’t think much of it at first, but i have been getting compliments every time i wear it.

It’s simple, elegant, and somehow stands out without trying too hard.

Curious, do you prefer subtle pieces or bold statement jewelry?
