anyone else miss the grumpy shoe cobbler who used to be there?

in his 70s (i think), white (i think), white hair, disheveled. first he kind of jumped out in front of me in front of mr nancy’s and said something unintelligible. i was smoking and happened to be taking a drag right at that moment so then he said “OOOH, suck it.” (that was the only part i understood)

i don’t normally post this stuff and part of me is just like “lol,”but his vibe was pretty unstable and i felt slightly rattled—which doesn’t usually happen with these interactions. so i figure it couldn’t hurt to give other ridgewood gals a heads up. but on the bright side he’s pretty old so we could probably beat his ass.

also curious if anyone knows who i’m talking about, and if so, what his deal is

I will be moving in the area around mid August. I have a six-year-old who I am trying to enroll in a local school. We are coming from overseas and he is in kindergarten, I’ve been advised that he will need to start first grade. Is there any suggestion or recommendations for tutoring services in Ridgewood? I’m not 100% sure if my son will cope with such transition, but I want to be able to provide him with the support that he needs. We are also trying to look for someone that can tutor or teach Spanish.
