Hey guys I've had a 12g RP6 now for 2 or 3 weeks and have been having quite a bit of fun playing it. Mostly been playing Wii games for the new RA rollout. I had been going hard on Monster Hunter Tri at the same time as a friend and we both were at HR 20 with the story done getting ready to move into high rank (had around 50 hours played). I had been working on Mario Party 8 and Mario Kart Wii on the side while he was working night shifts.

I had noticed an issue where sometime my Dolphin bar doesn't work every time I plug it in, but restarting the system usually gets it going again. So yesterday I had been playing MKWii while I was waiting for some food to cook. I plugged it into a charger and it was fine. When I finished eating I was going to continue MP8 story and try to get the beat badge for it. So I unplugged it from the charger and hit reset. Much to my dismay I was sent into a boot loop where it threw me out into a menu that says something is wrong with my Android.

I found other people saying this had happened to them on other Retroid devices link, but I couldn't find one for RP6. I tried messing with it for almost an hour going through trying recovery mode, and emergency mode but I couldn't find any way to get back into Android or copy my Wii saves off. So I lost all of my data. The one emulator that doesn't support saving to an SD. :(

Does anyone know what could have caused this, and should I be worried something could be wrong with the internal storage? It was completely fine up until the point I restarted the device. I finally got everything set up again today but I'm still sad about losing my MH save. I told my friend I guess he could give me his and I could run it through a save editor so we could still play together but man...

I’ve had a lot of success getting these to run, I’m wondering if anyone has some tips and tricks for DS1 Remastered and DS3 in particular-

DS1 - Switch version seems to run well, PC version on GameNative and Gamehub Lite runs a bit too slow, I think it needs a 30fps mod or something to make it smoother

DS2 - runs perfect in GN at 60fps, GHL was a little worse at 45ish fps

DS3 - I’ve tried both GHL and Winlator which runs not very well at 10-25 fps, GN was much better at 30+\- fps. Very playable, although there were a lot of one second freezes particularly when fighting which is annoying.

TBH I bought this for PS2 and switch games, I only found out about Windows emulation this week and I’m really impressed. I have GTA5 running on it, amazing little device

I don’t really know how it works with motion controls and what games either run well or don’t need motion controls on the rp6 any advice is great thanks

I am intrested in buying one of these consoles but i am not really sure. Some people say that one i better and others dont. I would prefer the one that is portable and powerfull(switch games and some steam). Tbh i have no idea.(the price on the base model of thor is pretty high too in contrast to rp6)

Quiero dejar aquí de manifiesto una incidencia que tuve con un pedido para ver si hay más afectados como yo.

Hice un pedido a una tienda que se llama Game Hub Store de una Retroid Pocket 5 por un valor de 180 € en las rebajas del aniversario de Aliexpress. La tienda cuenta con un 4,7 y muy buenas opiniones en cuanto a envíos.

Mi sorpresa fue que cuando hice el pedido a los pocos minutos no había ya productos en la tienda. Se pusieron en contacto mío tras informar que no se había realizado el envío cuando de normal suele realizarse a los pocos minutos del pago. La tienda me responde justificando que no han podido llevar a cabo el envío porque no se confirma la dirección o por un problema en la misma cuando estaba perfectamente bien y especificando que hacen envíos a españa porque por lo visto es de origen francés. Me notifican después de confirmar el envío que no puede realizarse y que debo cancelar el pedido porque ellos no pueden.

Me pongo en contacto con Aliexpress y suben el caso a un superior. Me comentan que van a dar un plazo para que la tienda envíe el producto ya que cuando esto lo solicitan desde orden superior la tienda suele hacer el envío en dos días.

Han pasado ya 7 días y no se ha enviado el producto. Miro hoy en la tienda y resulta que ya tienen la rp5 por un precio superior pero hay, así que espero recibirlo en dos días como pone en los detalles del producto.

Si alguien ha vivido algo similar y cómo se solucionó o se resolvió el caso sería de gran ayuda. En mi caso encima me hice con accesorios como el grip, la bolsa, cristal templado y pantalla dual así que el drama es mayor.

Hello all,

I am having a constant issue trying to play HL2 on my Retroid Pocket 5 using Gamenative. The game is failing to load a new area resulting in a dark room in the first chapter by the playground.

I have tried reloading saves

Deleting saves and starting fresh

Uninstalled the game and reinstalled

Any help is appreciated on resolving this. TIA

Had a question if anyone had any trouble running Paper Mario Ttyd and it crashing like 20min into the game once you get into the sewers. Is there any fix for it or should I take the loss and delete and install MarioRPG? I’m using a G2 and running it on Eden with the latest turnip driver.

Update from my last post after testing pretty much everything I could think of:

• Tried the controller wired → same issue
• Tried a different power adapter (no fast charge) → no change
• Tried a different HDMI cable → still there
• Tested multiple setups → input lag is always present on TV

At this point I’m pretty convinced the issue is coming from the official Retroid dock itself.

What’s weird is:

• In handheld mode → 0 lag
• Using the same controller (2.4GHz dongle) on handheld or gaming PC → 0 lag
• As soon as I go through the dock → noticeable delay

So yeah… I think I’m done with the official dock. Pretty disappointing honestly. and I’m planning to buy another dock instead.

so what dock are you using with your Retroid Pocket G2 ?and which controller do you use with it?
