Anyone been to Hundred Islands in Pangasinan? Looking to book a villa at Masamirey Cove Resort I was wondering if it's worth it for those that have been there.

Plane tickets are through the roof right now, nothing lower than 15k pesos ea rt anywhere in the Philippines so opting out to do a road trip instead. I was wondering if anyone has been here and if they could tell me if it's worth it. Planning to do Island hopping and zip lining at Hundred Islands as well.

Boracay Parawsailing: Join-in or Private?

I'm going to Boracay next month and I'm not sure if should I just book Join-in or Private Parawsailing on Klook?

Also, is it much better if i just book in Boracay? I just feel like it's much better when you already have a scheduled day and time for the activity.

Limasawa South Parola Beach Resort

For those who booked the fan rooms, is the temperature alright? We’re going to book for only one night and we’re just planning to sleep and take a bath there since we will be out the whole day.

advice Clark to El nido airswift

I'm trying to plan a trip to Palawan in October, from what I understand. It currently departs from Clark International Airport and arrives directly at El Nido with Swift Air. Does anyone have experience with this, please? Do they really cancel the majority of flights? The truth is, I'd like to avoid arriving at Clark International Airport from Manila early in the morning and finding my flight canceled, or the same thing, returning from El Nido with a canceled flight to Clark International Airport. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Things I wish I knew before going to the Philippines.

After my trip, there are a few things that caught me off guard. Not necessarily bad, just things I didn’t fully expect or prepare for. Stuff like travel times between places being longer than they look, or how quickly plans can change depending on weather or local conditions. None of it ruined the trip, but knowing it in advance would’ve made things smoother. Curious what surprised other people on their first visit.

Travel and Tour Agency for Bukidnon

Hello! We’ll be traveling to Davao in July or August then Bukidnon after. Do you have any recommendations for a reliable Travel and Tour agency sa Bukidnon good for 5 pax? We find it convenient kasi especially sa transpo, and first time din namin lahat doon so we’re really not familiar sa place.

If you could also reco an area kung saan kami mag stay it would be greatly appreciated :)

DIY Travel to Jomalig – Need Help on Best Way to Get to Real/Infanta Quezon

Hi everyone! 😊

From Trece Martires, Cavite po kami. May plano kami umalis ng May 28 ng tanghali.

Ask lang po sana:

Ano po pinaka best at reliable na route papuntang Real, Quezon?

Mas okay po ba via PITX, Alabang, or Cubao?

May bus/van po ba kahit hapon paalis?

Aabot po ba kami ng overnight sa Real kung ganyan oras kami aalis?

First time po namin mag DIY travel kaya medyo kinakabahan 😅

Any tips or advice po malaking help. Thank you so much! 🙏

My first solo trip is stressing me out

So I’ve booked a trip to Bora in May. It was supposed to be with my man (now my ex). Well since nakabook na yung flight, kesa masayang, tuloy ko na lang since gusto ko rin naman talagang gumala. The only issue is, nahihirapan akong magdecide ng mga gusto kong gawin sa island. Ultimo place to stay, hirap na hirap akong pumili. And I’m not usually like this if travelling with friends. Ako sa group yung nagpaplan ng itinerary and book ng activities/accoms, and they always compliment me about it. Ang galing ko daw mag organize. Pero etong solo trip na toh, hirap na hirap akong planuhin. I can’t even deside if I want to just chill or I want to explore, party and have fun. Ang dami kong inooverthink. Ganto ba talaga pag first time mag solo travel? Nakakakaba na nakakalito? Ughh! 😩

Anyone know of legitimate van rentals for travel from Metro Manila to any part of Luzon?

We're planning on travelling to Dingalan, Aurora from Quezon City. Perhaps you know of any van rentals that are legitimate and (hopefully) cheap? For around 20 people 😁

Thanks a bunch!

Best eSIM for Philippines? Heading to Palawan + Cebu and worried about coverage

Hey everyone,

Flying into Manila in about 3 weeks and then heading to Palawan (El Nido, Coron) and Cebu. Might also try to squeeze in Siargao if timing works out.

I've been going back and forth trying to figure out the best esim for Philippines and honestly the more i read the more confused i get lol. My main concern is that a lot of these eSIM providers seem fine in Manila or Cebu City but then people report losing signal once you're on the islands or in more remote spots. Which is like... exactly where I'm going.

So here's where I'm at:

  • Airalo - seems like the most popular recommendation everywhere but I've seen a bunch of comments saying it was spotty in El Nido and basically unusable on some island hopping tours. Could've just been bad luck though idk
  • Holafly - unlimited data sounds great on paper but I've read it throttles pretty hard and some people had issues outside metro areas
  • eSIMGlobe - a couple friends who went to Palawan last year used this one and said it actually held up in Coron and El Nido. Apparently it connects to multiple local networks instead of just one? That would make sense for why it worked better in remote areas. Pricing looked reasonable too when i checked their site
  • Smart/Globe local eSIM - I know buying local is usually cheapest but I land at like 11pm and honestly I just want data working the second I arrive, not dealing with kiosk stuff half asleep

The things I actually need it for:

  • Google Maps (getting around, finding restaurants etc)
  • WhatsApp / messaging
  • Some light remote work - mostly email and google docs, nothing crazy
  • Maybe the occasional video call if signal allows it

I don't need unlimited data, something like 10-15GB for 2-3 weeks should be plenty.

Has anyone here actually tested any of these in Palawan specifically? Like not just "it worked in Makati" but actually out on the islands? That's really what I'm trying to figure out before i commit to one.

Also curious - for those who've done the El Nido to Coron route, is there even cell coverage on some of those stops or am i dreaming lol

Thanks in advance 🙏

Fuel Surcharge already at Level 19 from Level 8 (for April 1 - 15)

I just noticed that fuel surcharge for flights already exceeded Level 8 (for April 1 - 15) which they announced late March. For example, Cebu Pacific flight from Manila to Bacolod fuel surcharge is now at 1248. Looking at this Policy Resolution No. 25 (BM 04-05-23-2022) from CAB, it seems like the Fuel Surcharge is now at Level 19 (max is at Level 20).

I tried checking news articles and there aren't any. This is a very steep increase from Level 4, then Level 8, and now at Level 19. In the case of Manila - Bacolod route (and other routes within the 400KM - 600KM group), this fuel surcharge is an increase from Php 232 to Php 1248.

May-June: Limasawa, Camiguin, Siquijor, Bantayan, or Gigantes?

Or ano pang mas maire-recommend ni’yo na magandang puntahan? Most likely snorkeling and swimming lang gagawin + island hopping if meron. Hindi rin mahilig sa night life but masasarap na kainan is a must. Help me, pleaseee!
