About me:

I love long walks, especially in misty, foggy weather where everything feels a little slower and quieter. Most days, you’ll find me out with my dog stopping by cafés, wandering around lakes, or heading out for small hikes. I’m also really into science, history, museums, sports, and reading, so my interests are kind of all over the place in the best way.

When I’m not doing any of these, I work as a team manager crushing Microsoft excel lol

I've never had a real penpal, except briefly in the 5th grade when they sort of forced us to. I ended up matched with some random boy and the convo ended after 2 letters. I’m a PhD student (3rd year) working on birds’ social behaviour. I’m really interested in animal behaviour, ecology and evolution more generally. I really enjoy what I do, which is also kind of my hobby. In my free time, I do birdwatching, read (mostly non-fiction, I’m really into virus transmission and real science stories, Quammen and Preston are among my favourites). I also cook, garden and ride my bike.
I’d love to write about science, discoveries, interesting papers/books. My ideal penpal would be someone interested in science, maybe a fellow PhD student, with whom to share our observations, ideas and dreams. I’m also happy to just chat about our own lives!

Hey! :) I've already posted here a while ago and were looking for some people to connect through snailmail. While I am grateful for that, I noticed that my longing for connection is hard to fulfill, since letters take a long time to arrive (I'm currently living in Australia) and maybe it's not quite what I was looking for. I've wanted to go abroad from Europe since I was a teenager, but actually going far away from my home Country didn't feel like I expected it to. It's been nearly a year now and I'm very eager to go home soon. I feel like, apart from a much awaited Japan trip, I couldn't really grow and develop as a person and make friends like I would have liked to. I am a creative person, love psychology and am interested in Feminism and staying active, facing your fears. I like animation/movies a lot and board- and cardgames. Love animals of all kinds and would say I'm quite the Hufflepuff. My favorite Series would probably be Avatar the Last Airbender. I like the Spiderverse. I am looking for someone genuine, honest and friendly to form a connection. Someone to actually share feelings and thoughts with. I often feel like when people interact with eachother they only talk about themselves and seek company for that, like throwing sentences about themselves to eachothers head, instead of actually having a conversation and seeing and being interested in eachother. I hope it makes sense how I described it, English isn't my mother tongue. I do enjoy phonecalling/voice messages a lot more than chatting, but obviously to get a sense for eachother it would be sweet to chat through reddit first. Hey everyone. I’m currently based in Georgia within the U.S .I’m in a phase of my life where I’m trying to reset, grow, and figure out my direction and I’d really like to do that with a better support system and meaningful friendships around me.

I’ve always found it a bit challenging to make and maintain friendships and being on the autism spectrum has definitely played a part in that. Still, I’m someone who genuinely values connection, honesty, and shared experiences.

A bit about me I love music and singing and I’ve always had a strong interest in voice acting, still a dream I haven’t given up on even if it’s a tough field to break into. I enjoy video games, watching shows and movies, cooking vegan meals, and spending time outdoors when I can. I’m also someone who likes learning new things and stepping outside my comfort zone especially when I have good people around me.

One of my current goals is to go back to school for either nursing or radiology. I’m still deciding between the two but I know I want a career path where I can help people and build something stable for my future.

Overall, I’m looking for friendships that are supportive, real, and encouraging, people who are open to talking, hanging out, and maybe exploring new things together.
