I'm currently playing on Nintendo Switch.

Recently I just finished FF IV DS, Chrono Tigger and Octopath Traveller 2. Now I'm suffering from withdrawal after finishing the latter.

I'd like something that has nice story, charismatic characters and nice customization mechanics.

I've tried FF VI remastered, but i don't really know exactly why, it wasn't charming (?) like those i've mentioned.

I'm a big fan of pokemon and digimon story games, but i've never player shin megami / persona games. Are those worth it? Are they too story driven?

Other aspect that i really like is world exploring, looking for secrets and walking without an fixed route.

In the difficulty aspect, i dont want something TOO hard (maybe a little easier than FF IV DS) since i don"t like cheesing bosses, but I like grinding

Please help a fellow traveller!

Also fuck Petrichor, because she only has her overworld sprite, and on top of that also a complicated design. As if it wasn't enough i couldn't even find fanarts of her. So yeah, this is the best i could do for her.

In a game where pretty much all the stories are connected pretty well, but this is all Agnea gets? It didn't help that her story was the worst by far, with no intrigue in seeing where the story goes, and no character arc, chapter 3 felt like a waste of time but now it feels like its only purpose was to "introduce" Tanzy who doesn't even do anything in the story. Goddamn Agnea feels like a blemish on an otherwise good game

I understand that stats can generally be buffed/debuffed up to 2 tiers (20% for each tier) but then there are skills like Phenn’s “Strength to Protect” which can buff physical attack “up to 5 tiers”, which can also stack up to 2 tiers.

Phenn can have both of these buffs at once, so do they stack? Does 2 applications of “Strength to Protect” stack up to 100% attack buff?

Really loving the game so far, but the mechanics are explained in a very annoyingly vague way.

I heard 0 is a gacha game that was on mobile.

I haven't played any of the Octopath Games and when I typically play a series I always want to skip the unneeded titles.

Let me know,

Thanks!

Hello, I just wanted to share something amazing that happened to me.

I recently started playing this game, cause I was talking to a friend about the old games of golden sun, and he told me this is similar in a way.

Been playing for a couple of days (Absolutely love it so far btw) and after getting Tressa, I went back to a cave that's close to the beginning where you start as Olberic.

Long story short, I was farming skeletons and using bewildering grace to try and level up faster (recommendation from my friend). So I rolled the dice with a max bewildering grace (Primerose) to see if I got lucky.

I DID! I got a x100 xp bost and the very next effect it transformed the skeleton into a 'cultured cait'! I didn't even know that could happen! I called my friend to ask him how to kill it cause I've never been able to kill one before (always ran away). Told me to throw a magic stone and boom, no more cat.

The xp bar went up like crazy! and I just kept hearing the level up chime!

No more leveling up for a while :D

So as we know, Oshka's motive is that he hates the idea of wealth and wants to be rid of it for what happened to his home and yadda yadda, but one thing I find weird is never brought up is that no one in Bargello's group oints out to him that even if his idea of "wealth" (i.e money) were to be gone, the concept would still exist (instead being whoever has the most valuable goods to barter with or who can perform the best services).

I think it'd be one thing if Oshka hated the idea of currency, that something of practical worthlessness can rule the hearts of men and he wants to change Orsterra's economic model back to a bartering system (since while still flawed there'd be some sort of logic there, you exchange something of practical value for some of equal practical value or you perform a task of a certain value for a reward of a certain value) but as is it seems like he wants everyone to go back to being hunter-gatherers without realizing the concept of wealth would still exist (in that case, who has access to particular resources) even if he got everything he wanted.

The biggest thing I want to see out of Octopath 3

Better dungeon design. In both 1 and 2 they're sort of just a means to give you random encounters on your way to the next loctation/boss with some chests scattered about to get you to go off course and get more encounters. I'd love to see more dungeons like the golden palace, it was so nice having to actually use my brain to get through an actual dungeon.

I'm really enjoying it! I started with Olberic and have collected everyone and leveled up everyone properly to around level 22 before doing the next chapters for primrose and and am in the middle of Tressa's story, am I playing this optimally?

Also damn i wish I played this sooner, the game is so fun, though If I had one critic I wish the other party members were visible during the chapter cutscenes and made comments in other than just the travel banter
