I was able to play “Beveling” for 130 points. So far I haven’t seen any players with a move worth over 130 and I’m curious if anyone can beat it!

For example, the theme could be “water” and we do words that relate to that somehow. If we don’t have something we skip the turn? Could be challenging, but with super vague themes there is a lot to work with. Just something I thought could be fun if anyone wants to try!!

I hate the last turn rule. Every time someone challenges me, it's somehow always them getting the last turn. I mean it's literally an extra turn, how is that fair? And I'm always ahead until then, just to lose to an extra fucking turn. I hate it. I just deleted the app, never coming back again. Fuck this.

Just threw a letter down and hit “play” by mistake for 10 points. My wife then crushed me with a 65 point word. Anyone else have big thumbs? We’ve gotta get this fixed, guys. I can’t have my wife pulling numbers like that.

I filled out the NYT feedback thing and asked them to change it and maybe, if you also have this problem, you could too!

After 20 or so games, I have found an 8 letter word twice. It’s lucky enough to find 7 letters but then finding a place to put them is super rare. one of my opponents gets at least one, if not 2 per game. Sometimes they are weird words. sometimes not.

What are the odds anyone could get that lucky? Even with an anagram tool, that many lucky moments seems fishy to me.

Now that I'm getting a bit better, I've noticed many of the times I've decisively lost come from leaving the 4 squares covering 3W and 3L exposed, and my opponent hits this with a high value tile on the 3L.

I suppose this is a more significant factor than in Scrabble where it's only 2L/3W, and a bingo/sweep is worth more?
